    Nice, she did exactly what I wanted after the bad start, she saved the event as much as she could. She wasted up to 3-4 points in the first two series, with that she could have made it into the final, but I am sure she will get more chances. I much prefer this kind of outcome than what happened to Ceccarello, which is just heartbreaking.

    In a couple of minutes "everything" starts, a lot of events at the same time, the Games is officially on.

    Mészáros is already likely out with that first series, she might be getting the jitters because this is her first Games, but I didn't expect anything from her today anyway. I hope at least she gains some confidence for the mixed team, that's her most important event here.

    If I would take a shot every time when a Hungarian commentator says "there aren't spectators due to COVID" my liver would give up by day 2. Yes, my dear commentator, I know there can't be spectators, do you think I would be up at 1 am watching rowing if wouldn't know such basic facts about this year's Olympics?

    Wasn't today's program supposed to start at 8:30? Did they move it up for half of hour for some reason? Edit: Oh, okay, now I see why.

    Osaka is by far the most well-known Japanese athlete, I don't know why anyone is shocked. Before the ceremony I was thinking about who they would choose and I thought that it will either be Osaka if she wants to do it or they will just go with young children or young athletes like London. And yep, those ended up being the last two in the Torch Relay.

    Ha minden igaz megvan a végleges szombati program a magyar csapatnak, leszámítva persze azokat a mérkőzéseket amik akkor jöhetnek szintén szombaton, ha az első meccsen túljutnak a magyar sportolók bizonyos sportágakban (vívás, cselgáncs, taekwondo). Sűrű első napunk lesz, egy komolyabb éremeséllyel férfi kardban. Sajnos már biztos hogy "csak" egy lehet kardban, mert a sorsolás miatt Szilágyi és Szatmári a negyeddöntőben találkozhat.
