  1. He did veer wildly out of his lane, but things are a bit informal here, not an auto DQ in the 100m.
  2. Would not trust that at all, they have absolutely no online presence, unlike Recast, Vinco Sports or other small but legit providers.
  3. Used to live in . Very normal for sport to start at dawn to avoid brutal noon-time heat.
  4. Yeah, World Athletics have had the genuinely great idea of starting the main season with three big events Track & Field from Gabarone as discussed. MultiStars dec & hep weekend from Lake Garda Madrid Race Walking Grand Prix. Sadly no TV coverage of the MultiStars, but the Madrid walking tomorrow is live & not-geoblocked on LaLiga TV. 5. Another weird one, with a angle. Antonio Tiberi and Trek-Segafredo have parted ways after he shot dead a minister's cat in San Marino. The 21-year-old Italian reportedly said he was trying out an air rifle and pointed it at a cat that belonged to San Marino's tourism and posts minister Federico Pedini Amati. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/65428878

  7. Speedway Grand Prix starts this weekend, with a GP in Croatia. Looking forward to it - should be a battle between & for the overall.
  8. After checkmate or resignation, the contest is resolved by best of three head kicks, with the stage 1 winner having a 1-0 advantage.
  9. New Stadium progress - seems to be ready in good time, which is a rarity world-wide. https://worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-championships/budapest23/news/news/the-hungarian-national-athletics-centres-brand-new-track-unveiled
  10. Some exotic ones lately. Two track and field officials in Albania have been banned from the sport for falsifying an athlete's result to help him qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, the Athletics Integrity Unit said Wednesday. Long jumper Izmir Smajlaj was cleared of being part of the conspiracy to register a national record in May 2021 that gained him entry to compete at the Tokyo Games. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-12019801/Izmir-Smajlaj-Albanian-track-field-officials-banned-Olympics-conspiracy.html
  11. Still, you always have the ski jumping.
  12. Jess Diggins interviewed on eating disorders. I know that Norways pull athletes from competition once they develop symptoms. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-12013099/Running-5-miles-eating-cookie-Social-media-eating-disorders-female-athletes.html

  14. Finally finished The Walking Dead after about 15 years. Was a great show for a while but ended up going around in circles a lot. Still had some good moments. Don’t like this idea that after 150 episodes or whatever of gore & extreme violence, what viewers want is a message of peace, love & brotherhood.

  17. Also second win of the year in a Young Riders’ overall - David Poole - a new name to me. Lukas Nerurkar also got one, the Valenciana I think.
  18. That hedge was somebody’s pride & joy! Not easy to get them as thick as that.
  19. Difficult to say. For a country like they definitely have the players to be amongst the best, but all their best are playing pro Rugby League in Britain & Australia, so Sevens is a luxury they can’t afford.
  20. Still got the problem of Katie ripping the legs off the rest of the team though.
  21. First Northern Hemisphere action of the year this weekend - European Cup from . It’s on YT. https://youtube.com/@CanoeEurope

  25. OK. if I’m starting a company that makes submarines, I am not going to name it “U-Boat” anything any more than I’m going to have “Titanic Shipbuilders” or “Hindenburg Airships” A company has unveiled the interiors of a £22million ($27million) superyacht-submarine hybrid inspired by a classic Jules Verne book. Dutch boatbuilder U-Boat Worx claims the Nautilus is capable of serving as a private yacht and a fully functional submarine. Described as the 'ultimate adventure vessel', the firm says it will be able to dive to a depth of 150 metres (492ft) and cover a range of 3,200 nautical miles. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/article-11990791/Jaw-dropping-22million-vessel-called-Nautilus-superyacht-submarine.html#comments
