  1. To everyone: welcome to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe!!! (in my opinion of course haha) Welcome to Lisboa!!
  2. Oh wow, more than 100 points! I don’t remember but I don’t think portugal ever get this much points! Really great to know also that it ended in 7th, specially give the fact that it was literally the only nice song I heard in the radio during the few days I was in Lisbon this year thanks to everyone who liked the song! And congrats to the winners
  3. Not useful actually, I still don’t speak Dutch. ik spreek maar een beetje nederlands
  4. Hey! I’m back online but on my phone, so if someone can publish the votes for me that would be great!
  5. Have to leave for quite a while so won’t be able to show the points, but good luck to everyone and thanks for whatever points PORTUGAL has/will receive
  6. Only now I’m seeing this! (Yesterday was a party holiday here in The Netherlands so I’m still in hangover mode haha) thanks brazil for the points! It’s good to know that at least we won’t get the terrifying zero xD
  7. I loved visiting Iceland, one of the most amazing countries I have ever been to!!
  8. Not that I disagree with the "insecure" stuff (which i think all great players are), but in the first final I guess he did that because he really wanted to score a goal while winning the biggest team competition in the world in his own country, in front of all Portugal, in the town where he (really) started his career. Not everyone can do that. For this last one I guess it's even more understandable, since everything was going in favor of Juventus, they were loosing 3-0, and by scoring this goal they would pass to the semi finals, so i think any normal player would celebrate like that anyway.
  9. haha i thought you had just mistaked "world" for "euro" champions, that's why i joked back still, i can easily bet that for both teams, judging on our team playing, that title is a miracle hahaha
  10. well, it's 3-0, and it's not all the time they play together so always a good excuse for some (friendly) mocking and all that. But maybe that's my portuguese mentality thinking, used to live in a country where football is (unfortunately) bigger than almost anything else happening.....
  11. So, there are around 190 nations to which Portugal could have lost last monday. From all of those, they chose to lost against the country I live in, The Netherlands However, i was surprised by the reactions when i went to work today, as apparently nobody cared about it (while if it was in Portugal, it would be a whole day conversation topic hahaha)
  12. Are you predicting the future? (i'm assuming you mean Portugal since it's the only of those teams who will go to the world cup haha)
  13. Ok so I'll just be the first and put the Portuguese song. To be honest I wasn't thinking about participating this time because I now live in the netherlands and therefore I have no idea about what music was launched in Portugal this past year. However, two weeks ago while I went to Portugal to visit my family I heard a very nice song on the radio, a collaboration between a Portuguese and Brazilian singers, and found out that the song was from last year (at least i hope so :-) ). After the song that I have shown you last year, with a mix of portuguese and african culture, I thought this would be the perfect entry, especially for this year, a mix between two countries that make some jokes about each other, but that in the end are really brothers and support each other. DIOGO PIÇARRA + ANAVITORIA
  14. He was sick (still a bit), needed the heart transplant, and is in recover. Not sure if he will be able to sing at the Eurovision final, it will depend on the doctors opinion, but he is recovering well for now
  15. Only now i could come here, but what a match! And very funny how, just like in Euro 2016 for football, our best player is injured, has to leave the match, and then a more unknown "hero" scores the victory goal
  16. I live here now for a bit more than one year. There is no way i would ever get close to those waters after seeing all the "things" that end up on the canals haha
  17. just in case you all wonder why the Dutch dominate the speed ice skating (according to NBC commentador):
  18. Yep, just checked: "The top four ranked teams that do not qualify for UEFA EURO 2020 will enter a play-off in March 2020, with one finals place on offer." Which is good for those big teams that surprisely dont qualify for the final phase (like Italy and Netherlands this year), they get a second chance
  19. here are the League A groups for the UEFA Nations League I think that, apart from group 2, we can expect some amazing games!
  20. Eurovision presenters were just announced for Lisbon 2018! Four women, three of them were already expected (the usual Portuguese Eurovision presenters) and the 4th one is none other than NCIS - Los Angeles main star, Daniela Ruah.
  21. Not sure if anyone has already posted this, but here are the four official Leagues of the first UEFA League of Nations: - Each league has 4 groups of three (except for Leagues C and D who can have groups of four) - First 4 teams of League A qualify to the League of Nations Final Phase. - First 4 teams of all other leagues get promoted; - Last 4 teams get relegated - Best 4 teams from each league who can't qualify to Euro 2020 through the "normal qualification process" will be qualified to a playoff, selecting the last 4 spots to Euro 2020 - The draw for the groups will be made on 24th January
  22. Not bad group for Portugal Spain will be probably the winner, but i think portugal should have the strength to be better than iran and morocco.
  23. Nice!! I see that Portugal ended up on 19 place with quite a bunch of points Given the fact that it was a full instrumental song (not sure if it was the first time ever here) i knew it would be difficult to get points, so I am really happy that a few of you really did like the song! As I always say, my goal on this contest is to show you the best portuguese music of different genres, and if at least one of you like it, I consider my goal achieved (now i have to think about which music genre I will pick next time ) Also I would like to congratulate the winners, Ireland, and the organizers, Tunisia, but most of all, congrat France and USA, as their songs were (apart from well known Enrique Iglesias) the only ones that I really did like this year
