  1. Sending you a PM. Thanks! And to all, there was a feature I just discovered that may be useful to others. It's a way to change what you see when you click on a Forum thread, specifically a way to automatically jump to the last comment you've seen, or the last comment posted (instead of the default setting of going to the top of the first page if you click the title). To do this, just click your username in the top right and click Account Settings. Then find Content View Behavior in the list on the left and you can change it. Hope that helps!
  2. Congrats to our winners at Guiyang! Double gold for ! Women Gold - Meng Shixue Silver - Jimin Jeong Bronze - Emma Hunt Men Gold - Chu Shouhong Silver - Ryo Omasa Bronze - Leander Carmanns And here are our final Speed World Cup standings for 2025. Women Gold - Emma Hunt Silver - Yafei Zhou Gold - Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi Men Gold - Kiromal Katibin Silver - Sam Watson Bronze - Ryo Omasa See you in Seoul next week for the WCH! (I feel like Sam Watson is going to come back with a vengeance.)
  3. Look at what Guiyang did to their skyline. Promoting the comp! Even had pics of climbers, etc. So cool!
  4. And despite going out in the semis, Emma Hunt will win the overall Speed title this year.
  5. And Zach Hammer slips in the 1/4s. A cruel sport Speed Climbing is... Per the commentators Kiromal still should win the overall Speed WC title.
  6. Though Athletics and Table Tennis are both live, I'm choosing Sport Climbing right now...Sam Watson and Kiromal Katibin both knocked out in R16! (Kiromal had a big slip, and Sam had a smaller one.)
  7. What happened to Kim?
  8. In this message board, is there way to ignore/hide certain forums or threads? I am a part of another online community where that is an option, and didn't know if that feature was available here.
  9. Here's. our lineups for tomorrow's final Speed World Cup! Note that Sam Watson is in the bottom half of the line-up! (He had a slip on his second run.) 10. Totally anecdotal, but I work at a school that has a swim team. The mom of one of the students on the swim team told my wife that they picked swimming because they wanted a 'cheap' sport. Come to find out, the trunks were significantly more expensive than they thought (in the hundreds of dollars, if I'm not mistaken), and there is a limit as to how many times you can wear them in competition (like, 10 times or less). It surprised me, too. (And if that's the case in high school competition, I can only imagine at the elite level.)
  11. Oops! Fixed.

  14. BTW, Under the LA28 menu in the top bar, the third option says WCH count in the road to MiCo26 instead of LA28.
  15. Oops! This thread accidentally has the Road to Milano Cortina blue bubble next to the title.
  16. I wish World Archery had better free coverage....they hardly put things on YouTube, even highlights. Looking at their YT channel, you'd hardly know there was a WCH happening. There are a few short clips of the winning moments on Facebook, but that's about it.
  17. Curious if any non-Americans follow US college (American) football. In the state where I live (South Carolina), there are no pro sports (closest is Atlanta, GA, which has football, baseball, and basketball, and Charlotte, NC has basketball), but most everyone has their favorite college team. I don't think it's a stretch to say that college football is more popular than pro football. (My user name here has the name of the university I attended--Clemson.)
  18. And just like that, our Lead World Cup season finishes, and get the Gold with Janja climbing much higher than the others (47+ vs. 38+ and below). IFSC World Cup (Lead) - 04-06 Sept 2025 - Koper, SLO Men Gold - Sorato Anraku Silver - Alberto Ginés López Bronze - Toby Roberts Women Gold - Janja Garnbret Silver - Seo Chaehyun Bronze - Laura Rogora And with this, Boulder and Lead individual seasons are finished. One final Speed comp next week, then WCH after that! World Cup Final Rankings - Boulder Men Gold - Sorato Anraku Silver - Mejdi Schalk Bronze- Sohta Amagasa Women Gold - Oriane Bertone Silver - Mao Nakamaura Bronze - Annie Sanders World Cup Final Rankings - Lead Men Gold - Alberto Ginés López Silver - Sorato Anraku Bronze - Satone Yoshida Women Gold - Erin McNeice Silver - Seo Chaehyun Bronze - Laura Rogora (Alberto has yet to win a Gold Medal at World Cup comps, yet his consistency has him atop the World Cup final rankings. Congrats!) (Oh, and he does have the Gold from Tokyo 2020.) (And despite only competing twice in Lead, Janja ends up 7th in the Lead World Cup Rankings. That's what happens when you're a beast.) Congrats to all the athletes!
  19. Agreed. Perhaps a solution, if a solution is desired, would be to have a Pinned Post in each sport's forum with the upcoming year's calendar. That way, those with specific interest in specific sports can find discussion, calendar, etc. all together in the Forum.
  20. Sadly, in the US they only aired the first Semi, not the second. (I don't pay to watch online.). But they will (supposedly) be airing the finals...hoping for a good game! (They didn't even show all the VNL games with the US playing...who knows why?)
  21. I felt similarly when watching Sport Climbing at the World Games...just wasn't the same with a different commentator.
  22. One feature I would like to see is a way to filter the Events Calendar. The sports calendar is great to browse things that are coming up; however, it is difficult to filter only a certain sport. I recognize that you can use the Search feature in Events to find a sport; however, the search results are not in chronological order...in fact, I can't discern how the events are displayed (as it's also not based on when the event was posted). Might there be a way to browse events by discipline chronologically (past and/or future)? Perhaps I haven't discovered the feature yet. Thanks again to all the admins for this great site!
  23. Question, as I (a newbie here) learn about how this site operates: I see that there are over 300 disciplines tracked on the WCH tracker. Most of them are due to the 2025 WCHs, but I see that some (tennis, golf, e.g.) are based on world rankings at the end of the year. The tracker, though, doesn't have all of the events. The one I notice is Equestrian, and there are probably others. I think they have WCH in 2026, but in 2025, could there be a way to indicate a 'podium' for the events for the year? (There are events like the Nations Cup, and there are individual rankings, etc.) But perhaps the goal isn't to have all events covered. Many (probably most) sports don't have WCH each year, and perhaps the tracker is just for the WCHs contested that year (with a few exceptions).
  24. To Niger's credit, they got awarded a 3-0 victory last June when Rep. of Congo refused to travel to DRC for the game (as their stadium in Brazzaville apparently wasn't up to standard, so they moved it to Kinshasa across the river). The stadium in Brazzaville must have gotten upgraded, as the Congo/Tanzania game was played there yesterday. Congo also was suspended in March due to interference in their federation, so Tanzania and Zambia were each awarded a 3-0 win. (Congo will have only actually played 5 games, assuming they play both next month.) And then of course this is also the group with Eritrea withdrawing...all sorts of drama here!
  25. Looks like Niger didn't host any games. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_–_CAF_Group_E
