  1. Men's Speed Qualis are done... Proud to say that the has three men moving forward. Zach Hammer and Sam Watson are in the top 2 positions, and a rising star Michael Hom climbed into 5th position. Glad to see Eric Noya Cardona through to the finals. He's always got a great attitude, and I love to see him succeed. Probably the biggest upset was Ryo Omasa failing to make it through, considering he medalled three times this year on the WC Circuit. 5.078 was the cutoff time. So fast!
  2. A new WR for W Speed! In the Quarter-Finals, there were only athletes from , , and . The hometown Jimin Jeong placed 4th, however. Gold - Alexandra Mirosław Silver - Deng Lijuan Bronze - Zhao Yafei Congrats! Now bring on the men tomorrow!
  3. Emma Hunt slips on both her quali runs and won't make it to finals.
  4. https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/icc-suspends-usa-cricket-1504210 ICC suspends USA Cricket board "USAC's suspension will not impact USA's participation in the T20 World Cup starting in February in India and Sri Lanka"
  5. Boulder qualis today... Probably the biggest upset was Sohta Amagasa from not making it through on the men's side. There are a few athletes towards the top of the roster that I'm not super familiar with. Happy that two men from made it through (Colin Duffy and Ben Hanna). Toby Roberts did make these finals. I know he'll be happy. Two American women also made it through, Annie Sanders of course, and Melina Costanza, whom I've never seen climb, I don't think. W speed qualis/finals tomorrow!
  6. BTW, the CONCACAF W Qualifier supposedly has its first match in November, but there are no exact dates, places, matches, etc. at all. The draw happened just over a month ago. Hopefully there will be news soon! https://www.concacaf.com/womens-championship/news/202526-concacaf-w-qualifiers-official-draw-and-competition-details/
  7. with the 3-1 win over . Next up will be vs . (Too bad these games aren't airing freely in the USA...)
  8. And on the men's side... Alberto Ginés López Neo Suzuki Satone Yoshida Colin Duffy barely makes it through in p20 Some big names didn't make it through...Toby Roberts, Yannick Flohé, Sascha Lehmann, Max Bertone, another one of USA's up-and-comers Jesse Grupper
  9. Some stats comparing Paris 2024 to Tokyo 2025: Paris - 43 nations with medals Tokyo - 53 6 nations that medalled in Paris, not Tokyo - Croatia, India, Norway, Pakistan, Uganda, Zambia 16 nations that medalled in Tokyo, not Paris - Colombia, Cuba, Ireland, Latvia, Mexico, Nigeria, Samoa, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Switzerland, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela Then for some math, the next two tables are the difference between how nations did at the Olympics vs. World Champs How nations did at Paris vs. Tokyo, sorted by difference in total medals (positive number indicating you did better at Tokyo) So, Italy earned 4 more medals this year. USA overall earned 8 fewer medals this year. How nations did at Paris vs. Tokyo, sorted by difference in gold medal count (positive number indicating you did better at Tokyo) So, Kenya earned 3 more gold medals this year than last. Norway earned 2 fewer. And finally, here's Paris vs. Tokyo medal table by nation (Tokyo is on left, sorry for weird formatting):
