  1. I see you are one of the “everything but soccer” people in Mexico. 😀 i’m not in that bunch, but I understand. Football information and “analysis” in Mexico is too overwhelming, excessive and sometimes sickening. On the other hand, I’m one of the guys who dislikes Mexicans’ love for Brazilian soccer, as a proxy because of our own frustrations. The Verde-amarelha was a beautiful team to watch in the 20th Century. Not since Dunga became coach, decades ago. Not now, in any category.
  2. Women’s Flag Football: México won the gold medal in the World Games, not the silver.
  3. In that case basque pelota has 32 country federations, and 8 countries have won medals in the World Championships. it is also an official sport in the Panamerican Games,
  4. It's interesting to see European reactions to flag football. An unknown sport for them, as cricket and curling are for us in Latin America. Flag football (tochito) has been played by boys in Mexican streets for more than 60 years. Playing tackle football on the pavement may be hazardous for your health, and the equipment is expensive. This was the poor kids' answer. My daughter wanted to play rugby, but there weren't enough options to do it in Mexico. She ended up playing mixed flag-football.
  5. 🇲🇽 5/10 Surprises: Prisca Awiti winning an unexpected silver in judo Heartbreaks: Randal Willars’ last dive. He had the silver in his hands and lost it. The lack of guts and/or intelligence of our taekwondo athletes. Goals achieved. No. The Olympic Committee expected 7 medals; the government head of sports expected 9. Sports funding: It is one fourth of what it was 10 years ago. It must go back to those levels. Stars for 2028 Diver Osmar Olvera And there will be flag football!
  6. Same thing happened in Mexico after the 1992 fiasco. A friend of mine was head of the commission. The one and only result: the president of Mexico”s Olympic Committee made his life impossible ever since.
  9. If China wins, it will be poetic justice on McEwen’s very American refusal to share the gold.
  10. ¡Ja!
  12. Has the US dominance of basketball been hazardous for the sports health? It all depends on what you make of it.
  14. I disagree with you this time. I”ve been watching diving competitions for a long long time, and I think the North Korean girl won fair and square. Not that I wanted her to medal. I did not.. I dislike coaches that never smile (but that’s the way in PRK). At the end of the competition I said to myself: “This is the first time all places were crystal clear”.
