  1. LIVE STREAM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMIwBPnHnWc&feature=youtu.be But you guys rather try that. My location is not allowed to watch, tried couple of foreign VPNs, no location allowed. Not sure why.....
  2. If I am correct, 2020 ECH was cancelled so I guess the 5 Europe quota will be counted from this ECH.
  3. Despite many strong team withdrew from the world relays, the competition remains of a high quality. Yes, there will surely be given some Olympic spots and of course the 2022WCH spots. For for all the teams it will still be extremely difficult!
  4. Po 3 neúspěšných pokusech kvalifikovat se na OH se to konečně podařilo Honzu Šeflovi!! V Šamoríně zaplaval 100m motýl za 51,89 sec. Překonal český rekord and pojede do Tokya!! Obrovská gratulace. Moc si to zaslouží!!
  5. Samorin 2021/04/30 Jan Šefl - 100m Butterfly - 51,89s New Czech record and A Standart for Tokyo. After missing all Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 by very little, this is what he deserves more than anybody. Big congrats!
  6. Bone cancer ?. Just 26 year old young athlete..... Rest in peace
  7. Kristiina Mäki just few months after giving a birth to her son Kaapo announced return on the track and try to qualify for Tokyo alrogether with her life partner Filip Sasínek! Both are in 1500m Olympic ranking on the positions that would secure the qualification! Wish good luck to both of them. https://www.instagram.com/p/CN2nYPPL_Sq/?igshid=5z8qkx855jbq
  8. It seems more countries will choose this option. I expect the same from .....
  9. I guess it would be impossible to change the schedule. TV rights and all that ...... Moreover athletes prepare for the event and they know the day in advance. Of course, they would not accept one week postpone. But I suppose either postpone or withdraw the covid-19 positive athletes, no sollution will be fair enough for all.
  10. Thanks a lot. As I checked some information, all for Eventing should be alright. As for eventing, there are surely 2 who matches the standarts - Miloslav Prihoda Jr. and Miroslav Trunda. For MER should be also OK Pavel Brezina and Petr Lacina. And as mentioned above, there should be 4 Czechs to reach MER in jumping. So it seems that what quota originally got, should remain the same. 2 spots for Eventing and 3 spots for Jumping (individual + team).
  11. I have a question about relays. Let's say there is a country which qualified only 1 athlete for the individual event but they will qualify also the relay. Can anybody from the athletes nominated for the relay race compete also in the individual event?
  12. I can't imagine being a candidate for an Olympic medal and being tested positive one day prior to my competition and being forced to withdraw due to a positive test. Unfortunately, I believe there will be such desperate situations during the Games this year.
  13. Guys, I think there have been some confusion about the qualification system. I think IOC and WA wanted to make the qualification system a bit interesting. So they made 2 events from which can countries directly qualify. 1) First 8 relay from WCH 2019 2) Relay, that is placed in Top 8 at the 2021 World Relays and haven't qualified for Tokyo 2020 yet. This means if there is a team placed 9th during the World Relays, does not automatically qualify and has to wait for the world ranking. 3) The most unlike scenario is that all 8 teams would qualify from World Relay which would remain no team to qualify from the World Ranking. 4) So for example, if there are 2 teams placed in Top 8 that has not qualified for Tokyo 2020 yet, they will qualify through world relays and there will be only 6 remaining spots from the world ranking. 5) About 4x100 Men ..... They would have to be extremely unlucky. There would have to be 8 team which has not qualified from WCH 2019 and will qualify from world relay which would remain no spot for Jamaica team from world ranking. They are on a qualifying position and I doubt they would not qualify. I am a bit more sceptical about that is 14th in the ranking and not participating in the world relays will put them in trouble. in 9th place and in 11th place will most likely make it in my opinion even though they won't participate in world relays.
  14. I would rather compare current world of "competing for whatever country I want" to the world of soccer, ice hockey or basketball. It has become a business and I think that we will be able to see it more and more. As mentioned above, athletes decide to represent another country because that country offers better conditions. It is like when someone play football for "FC Villagers" :-D .. a later is wanted by FC Slavia Prague. Of course, he goes, they offer better conditions and salary. From Slavia Prague he may go to Chelsea where are even better conditions and way higher salary. And in current world of Olympic sports? Oksana Chusovitina -》 :USR - - For me, personally very sad, freestyle skier Matěj Švancer. Winter Youth Olympic Games champion, world junior champion and big candidate to take one of the Olympic medals in Beijing 2022. Decided to compete for from next season. Competition is higher there but he trains in and their national team offers better conditions than national team as he said. I am really sad that he is not going to compete under our flag but on the other side, it does not make me cheer for him less. If he makes the Olympic Team, I think most of the Czechs will be still cheering for him and happy if he makes the medal. As another example, we may say some of the French speaking countries in Africa, where many great football players were born and later went to France and decided to take the French citizenship. We can't criticize them because it is what they do for living. As any other athletes in any other sports. I think it has become a common part of the world of sports and I think it should be respected from the side of Federation, opponents and fans.
  15. Wow, thanks a lot for the information. I knew that they all re-confirmed their MER last year (2020). And for all eventing and jumping. What I read above is that all the competitors are supposed to re-confirm the MER also in the 2021 season. That is why I was asking in our Federation but haven't got their reply yet. .... If it was enough from 2020, they all are secured and can go. If it must be re-confirmed in 2021, then I don't know yet.
  16. Players qualified in mixed doubles have a sure spot in singles, too? Or can you explain more your explanation of minimum 2 and maximum 9 players?
  17. I guess Lubo Pistej may be able to participate both Men's Singles and mixed doubles? Maybe the same for Balážová? :-)
  18. Thanks a lot for the explanation. It helped a lot. Seems like a new rule to me. Also would like to point out as quite unfair as the strong countries are able to earn even more quota and the weaker countries are unfortunately have to stay without any. It is a pity. For me, I don't quite get why to change the OG qualification system in the way to support the strong countries ......
  19. Seznam nominovaných na OH i pozencionálních jmen aktualizován 26.4.2021 1:35 a.m.
  20. Can anybody please explain to me how is it possible that Russia has earned additional spots for individial all-around if they already qualified a team? Because of this, the only who could have qualified stayed first under the line who is not qualified (reserve). Thanks
  21. A uspesny vikend zavrsil Pavel Sirucek ve stolnim tenise. 3 kvalifikovani sportovci na narocnych kvakifikacnich pavoucich behem 1 vikendu! Pecka!
  22. Damn, you are right. But Jurka made it anyway! Amazing day for him!!
  23. Your favourites for today's Men's Epee? 24 entrants is quite high number but no wonder for Epee. Seed no. 1 Perreira, No. 2 Vuorinen, No. 3 Mahringer, No. 4 Jurka, No.5 Von der Osten. ..... Means 5 great fencers from Top 50 haven't qualified for the Olympics and there is only one spot. It is going to be an extremely tough competition. For me, hoping that Jurka will take the spot. With all of his achievements in junior level, he definitely deserves. Wish all the best to him!
  24. I think Dyjas still might have a chance to qualify via Olympic ranking. For me, the same I am hoping for Hana Matelová who is also out too early considering being the top seed. Pavel Širůček still in, let's see. But I think that Dyjas and Širůček have both still a decent chance to qualify via ranking.
  25. Alexander Choupenitch ovládl kvalifikační turnaj Evropanů a stává se prvním českým šermířem, který se kvalifikoval do Tokya!!!!
