  1. A true act of Fair Play and personal greatness of Cuban Laina Pérez As @Olympian1010 and @JoshMartini007 were aware, the current CACSO Games rules doesn't allow for a podium sweep in any event; so in women's 10m air pistol after being awarded the bronze medal by the local organizers, Mexican shooter Alejandra Cervantes was asked to give the prize to Pérez, as two other Mexican shooters finished 1-2. And as soon as Pérez received her medal, she took it off her and gave it back unoficially to Cervantes, as she told that rules weren't made by athletes" and she should keep what she fairly won.
  2. Thanks, yes I'm reviewing the quotas and will take a second look on the weekend, as I also have to check the order in which the events took place to know precisely which shooter took the quota.
  3. Good for them. Plus they will probably get some quotas from athletes that will switch from Curacao.
  4. & get quotas in men’s air pistol in men’s 50m rifle
  5. I think its due to the fact that this edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games had to be postponed. I imagine most federations didn’t have enough budget to transport horses to San Salvador and Santiago on less than 5 months
  6. And the dirty play by Central American and Caribbean judges against Mexico starts: Colombia winning in Team Technical in artistic swimming was short of robbery, like Panama winning in women’s all around in gymnastics.
  7. I think the Team event was cancelled as only Mexico could finish the competition. Not that it should have been official even as a medal event due to lack of participation.
  8. I’ll need to check, but probably they’ll get some support from Telmex Foundation (part of CARSO Group like Telmex) just like some other sports people in the past, given our current dictator won’t allow the federal government spending on sports.
  9. I saw it too and Mexican media has confirmed the news so I guess rules were changed.
  10. Some competitions are also being broadcasted in this channel: https://youtube.com/@ImagenDeportes
  11. Mexico with two podium sweeps today: women’s air pistol and women’s individual modern pentathlon Of course, per the competition rules, in shooting and in modern pentathlon get bronze.
  12. Pending further verification, I think J Rueda and I Gonesh qualify in women’s 10m Pistol
  13. It seems like an unexpected team gold for Mexico in men’s gymnastics Still, Puerto Rico with a chance to spoil it.
  14. I think @Olympian1010 meant . Like Sint Maarten they were absent from the OC. And while French Guiana participated in the Island Games some days ago, they haven’t posted a thing regarding their participation at this edition.
  15. Ready fir the first gold medal for Mexico. Go Joana Jiménez
  16. Probablu like someone said, it eas a production decision, but it didn’t work our during the athletes parade
  17. Well it seems they dont even have the stadium lights system turned on.
  18. Actually the first medal has been already awarded yesterday as already has a bronze in boxing, due to a bye in the first round of the +92k The most disgusting thing is the mediocrity of their NOC to celebrate that kind of thing saying they already had a medal, without the guy even steping to the ring and show his skills.
  19. Seemed they tried to copy FIVB format for the manor tournaments; yet as some pools had less teams, they should hace stick with a full round robin to better balance the knock out draws, which btw were left qay unbalanced in men’s as one out of / will leave way too early, giving away the other half to
  20. The beach volley courts are in poor state. Seems the organizers didn’t mind doing some work after yesterday matches
  21. Didn’t qualify any. it seems like its former star sport is no longer sponsored.
  22. Very weird indeed. I’m pretty sure Mexico qualified in men’s table tennis, yet there’s no sign of them. Edit: I was reading the news, and our men were left out because the stupid federation forgot to submit their entries for the qualification event.
