  1. Again bitch Guevara, now joined by surprise bitch Rut Castillo, ruins the debut with their pettiness. And that's not all: our best MTB cyclist and contender for gold has been suspended by UCI for whereabout non compliance, also losing its Olympic spot.
  2. Equally unfortunate draw for Mexico with our best guy drawing Cuba in first round.
  3. Wow! I was expecting a comfortable win, but it seems Chile is just crumbling on 3rd.
  4. Exactly. But if they’d scheduled games at 09:30 and 14:30 on Friday it still fit in time with the opening ceremony.
  5. I know. Why did they scheduled a single game so early today when they could have move it to Friday.
  6. Baseball entries are up. Hopefully we’ll see the rest in the coming days.
  7. Diving Entries according to Aquatics Panam. After seeing who’s competing, and if World Aquatics indeed adheres to its qualification rules, I think all quotas will be reallocated.
  8. Still, way behind being global. Good for them to get a chance to be showcased, but in the end I doubt they will be a core sport.
  9. Calling global a sport that’s only relevant in formen British colonies seems chauvinistic at best.
  10. Francisco Mosquera , weightlifting, provisionally suspended for boldenone (note in Spanish)
  11. I know, it was a joke. But seriously, Egypt dominates the panorama more than any of the countries you’ve mentioned. In serious terms, nothing is for granted, and any upset or incredible talent may end up with gold, but just line PR of China in diving or table tennis, this sport has a clear leading nation.
  12. Well maybe they don’t wish to step back, but in terms of venue quality, 2018 CAC Games lacked standards, including the athletes village which had tin roofs in some of its buildings. Of course, people on the stands and atmosphere saved the games. I’m sensing Panam Sports put the emphasis on improving some of those facilities or else, move the Games to another location.
  13. 1) Baseball/softball 2) Racquetball 3) Basque Pelota 4) Include aml weight divisions for tkd. 5) 1m springboard and high diving events
  14. First athletes have been entered into results system portal: 4 men and 76 women will compete in artistic swimming.
  15. Possible bronze in Men’s and Mixes doubles for Mexico at best.
  16. According to this note, today they will register 365 competitors.
  17. I don’t remember if the numbers were already, but from their Facebook pages: - 29 - 91 - 87
  18. Exactly. Sadly, both the president of the Mexican NOC and the state director for Sport, both former Olympians, are just there to get the spotlight and steal public funds, which in the case of the latter (Ana Guevara) are for hundreds of millions. I should have tripped her 12 years ago at the Panamerican Athletics Stadium when I encountered her in the upper stand.
  19. Accirding to the idiotic version of the Mexican Tennis Federation, who has done nothing other than build crappy stadiums at beach resorts, the female players are to blame because they didn’t clarify being available to play. Of course no serious journalist bought this crap, and they are receiving a lot of questioning and hate from the Mexican tennis comunity.
  20. According to this article, Mexico is sending with 638 competitors, a number a little high for me and that must include the coaches and staff, but if true, then our biggest delegation ever on foreign soil.
  21. Meaning every other sport will be reduced to 12 entries per event.
  22. Though luck for Mexican men getting in the same pool as the hosts, but if women don’t qualify first in that joke of pool, then the Mexican federation should be dissolved.
  23. MEXICO With a little delay here's Mexico's selection for this year contest. With a career spanning almost 30 years, Julieta Venegas is one of most recognizable female rock/pop singers, being nominated 4 times to the Grammy Awards and winning once in 2007 for Best Latin Pop album with "Limón y Sal", and from it, this nice collaboration with Chilean rapper, and former TISC participant, Ana Tijoux: Julieta Venegas ft. Ana Tijoux - Eres para Mí ("You're for Me") Lyrics in Spanish English translation
