  1. Well, USA will not compete in men’s shortboard at Santiago
  2. 6, maybe 7, athletes achieved OQT in Men’s 20 k: (x2) (1 or 2) Also 4 walkers qualified in women’s: (x2)
  3. Huge 159+ score for women’s team in qualification. I’m aware didn’t send their stars for this competition, but this gives me some hope for a team medal at Santiago and the chance to actually contest an Olympic quota
  4. I think at least Venezuela also had a full team competing. That would still leave Haiti and the Cayman Islands out
  5. Link to Panamerican Games https://consugisoft.com/artistica/resultados?c=Gam_-_Campeonato_Panamericano_De_Gimnasia_Art_stica_Medell_n_2023 Curiously, Team finals are on Sunday and apparatus and all around medals will be distributed according to qualification results
  6. Final karate quotas: Women Kata: Women -50kg: Women -55kg: Women -61kg: Women -68kg: Women 68+kg: Men Kata: *pending* Men -60kg: Men -67kg: Men -75kg: Men -84kg: Men 84+kg: (actually competing for )
  7. get the final quotas in men’s SUP surf
  8. get the final quotas in women’s SUP surf
  9. Here’s the link to the page: https://sites.google.com/view/selectivo2023/selectivo?mibextid=Zxz2cZ And below you can find the document with the results of the open category: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uJDhtVk7sNqHX3T4kAg35m61Gmj9enqv/view?usp=drivesdk
  10. Indeed, it doesn’t day anything about cyclists already gaining another one, so I think that as long the country doesn’t surpass the 3 athletes per gender exclusive to Road, that athlete might get one quota in TT and the other in the individual race.
  11. & qualify men & women teams in table tennis.
  12. Gold for Mexico in women’s Team Sprint
  13. I think this is the first time Mexico gets mire than one medal in a Series A event: one hold and two silvers. Nice
  14. Well not surprised: this is the general rule all across Latin America (probably the only exceptions are Costa Rica and Uruguay) with public funds that are never accounted for and worse of all, you never see the actual thieves behind bar.
  15. I didn’t watch the regatta, but it seems both Cuban 4- boats had some problems, as the men’s also had to drop 4th in their heat.
  16. Here's my list of non filled places: M1x: 2 places M2x: 3 boats - 6 places M2-: 3 boats - 6 places W1x: 3 places W2x: 2 boats - 4 places W2-: 2 boats - 4 places
  17. Exactly; the qualification document is messy as hell, sbut after doing some math, the numbers above match the total sports quota. Almost everyone here will be qualified with a further 2 quotas in men's to be reassgined due to a lack of boats in M2-, so in reality onlt LM2x will have an interesting B final. I do hope & will be assigned additional athletes so they can compete in M4x, as well as & in W4x.
  18. Quotas in Rowing: M1x: - 12 NOC's different from the ones qualified in M4x could have been awarded quotas, so 2 quotas will be reassigned. M2x: - 8 NOC's additional to the ones qualified in M4x could have been awarded quotas; since we were three boats short, 6 quotas will be reassigned. M4x/2x/1x: W1x: - 12 NOC's different from the ones qualified in W4x could have been awarded quotas, so 3 quotas will have to be reallocated. W2x: - 8 NOC's additional to the ones qualified in W4x could have been awarded quotas; since we were two boats short, 4 quotas will have to be reallocated. W4x/2x/1x: LW2x:
  19. Quotas in Archery: Recurve Men Team: Recurve Men Individual: (x3) (x3) (x1) (x1) (x1) (x1) Recurve Women Team: Recurve Women Individual: (x3) (x3) (x1) (x1) (x1) (x1) (x1) Compound Men Individual: (x1) Compound Women Individual: (x1) As in men's, last quota in women's individual recurve should be awarded to the best unqualified NOC that finishes in the top 8 at CAC Games; however there's little chance that a different NOC from the ones already qualified grabs the spot, so in this case, this quota should revert to
  20. It will probably be arranged in a few minutes. We'll see
  21. Great result for Guyana, I believe it will eb their debut at this sport. However, it will be a mess to determine the last qualifier in men's recurve: as per the qualification system that quota should be awarded to the best unqualified NOC that finishes in the top 8 at CAC Games in June. I doubt any NOC different from the one's already qualified could advance to that instance, so the quota should be reallocated to the best finisher in this tournament. However, according to current World Archery rules, every archer that loses in1/8 round is placed equal 9th; so which NOC will get the final quota is a mistery.
  22. So after a long hiatus, World Aquatics has rebranded it's top competition in this discipline, to be held over 3 stages. The first one is taking place at Xi'an starting minutes from now, and until Sunday, with a rather small, but packed with quality field. Of course, China will again demonstrate why it's the powerhouse, with Great Britain still ahead of the other contenders. Some chance for medals for Italy and Germany, maybe even Ukraine and Brazil could sneak in.
  23. I think I jinxed the Mexican women, as only one out of 4 made it to the finals; however she had the best score in the semifinals, so not all bad news.
