  1. Great start for Mexico in diving, giving that we don’t have a federation after it was suspended by corruption. 4 finalist divers/pair, and now our first medal. And to think Diego Balleza had to cost his training by opening an onlyFans account due to the cruel mistreatment of the national government, who still insist in supporting a fraudulent federation.
  2. First time I see divers for , and . Also, if not mistaken, first time for in women’s events.
  3. Oh, he’s getting sacked for sure. That was an achievable gold.
  4. I apologize for overlooking your post. While trying to find the number of competitors per each NOC, I found an article that mentioned the Bahamian one didn’t thought the men’s basketball and softball teams could “achieve” anything, so they were left out.
  5. Central American and Caribbean Games July 3, 2023 Women’s Long Jump Natalia LINARES - 6.86
  6. Mexico v. Dominican Republic for the last spot in men’s compound
  7. And she actually beat Galvan and Cortés with an amazing sprint in the last 150m Great race for her
  8. Natalia LINARES gets a ñn Olympic quota for Colombia in women’s Long Jump with a 6.86 mark.
  9. I think Dyner in women’s epee is thier best shot at gold.
  10. A true act of Fair Play and personal greatness of Cuban Laina Pérez As @Olympian1010 and @JoshMartini007 were aware, the current CACSO Games rules doesn't allow for a podium sweep in any event; so in women's 10m air pistol after being awarded the bronze medal by the local organizers, Mexican shooter Alejandra Cervantes was asked to give the prize to Pérez, as two other Mexican shooters finished 1-2. And as soon as Pérez received her medal, she took it off her and gave it back unoficially to Cervantes, as she told that rules weren't made by athletes" and she should keep what she fairly won.
  11. Thanks, yes I'm reviewing the quotas and will take a second look on the weekend, as I also have to check the order in which the events took place to know precisely which shooter took the quota.
  12. Good for them. Plus they will probably get some quotas from athletes that will switch from Curacao.
  13. & get quotas in men’s air pistol in men’s 50m rifle
  14. I think its due to the fact that this edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games had to be postponed. I imagine most federations didn’t have enough budget to transport horses to San Salvador and Santiago on less than 5 months
  15. And the dirty play by Central American and Caribbean judges against Mexico starts: Colombia winning in Team Technical in artistic swimming was short of robbery, like Panama winning in women’s all around in gymnastics.
  16. I think the Team event was cancelled as only Mexico could finish the competition. Not that it should have been official even as a medal event due to lack of participation.
  17. I’ll need to check, but probably they’ll get some support from Telmex Foundation (part of CARSO Group like Telmex) just like some other sports people in the past, given our current dictator won’t allow the federal government spending on sports.
  18. I saw it too and Mexican media has confirmed the news so I guess rules were changed.
  19. Some competitions are also being broadcasted in this channel: https://youtube.com/@ImagenDeportes
  20. Mexico with two podium sweeps today: women’s air pistol and women’s individual modern pentathlon Of course, per the competition rules, in shooting and in modern pentathlon get bronze.
  21. Pending further verification, I think J Rueda and I Gonesh qualify in women’s 10m Pistol
