  12. Sinner defeats Djokovic 7-6 (4), 6-3 for his 3rd Masters 1000 title of the season at the Shanghai Open, and his 4th victory (out of 5) over him in the last 11 months. Djokovic had his chances in the TB, but his net game cost him.

  16. Rafael Nadal has announced his retirement from tennis. Always knew this day would come, didn’t ever want it to happen. Davis Cup will be the final tournament of his career. All the best Rafa, what a legend of the sport you are!
  17. Season opening loss Canucks blow a 4-1 lead to the Flames, losing 5-6 in OT, they were pretty much nonexistent during the 2nd and 3rd periods. Props to Hughes for bagging us the point though, great save on an empty net. No worries, we brush this game off and move on, the rust will probably wear off as the season progresses.
