Yeah....that was expected I'm afraid...not feeling very hopeful for the other Austrian women who were in Willingen.

Yeah, totally expected after Kramer. I wonder what's the case with Iraschko-Stolz who missed some of the pre-Olympic rounds due to a swollen knee but she must have been in Willingen for WOG departure? She might be the only who gets lucky in the end.

So here's how AP predicted the medals (Gold-Silver-Bronze-Total)

    1. :NOR Norway: 20-8-11-39

    2. :GER Germany: 10-8-7-25

    3. :USA United States: 8-16-14-38

    4. :CHN China: 8-3-7-18

    5. :SWE Sweden: 7-7-4-18

    6. :NED Netherlands: 7-5-7-19

    7. :CAN Canada: 6-10-7-23

    8. :FRA France: 6-7-8-21

    9. :AUT Austria: 6-5-10-21 (note, this includes a medal for Kramer)

    10. :SUI Switzerland: 6-4-5-15

    11. :ROC Russian Olympic Committee: 5-14-8-27

    12. :JPN Japan: 5-7-8-20

    13. :KOR South Korea: 4-3-0-7

    14. :ITA Italy: 3-0-2-5

    15. :GBR Great Britain: 2-1-0-3

    16. :SVK Slovakia: 1-2-0-3

    16. :NZL New Zealand: 1-2-0-3

    18. :CZE Czech Republic: 1-1-2-4

    19. :FIN Finland: 1-1-1-3

    20. :LAT Latvia: 1-1-0-2

    21. :BEL Belgium: 1-0-0-1

    22. :AUS Australia: 0-2-1-3

    23. :SLO Slovenia: 0-1-0-1

    23. :ESP Spain: 0-1-0-1

    24. :BLR Belarus: 0-0-4-4

    25. :HUN Hungary: 0-0-2-2

    26. :EST Estonia: 0-0-1-1

Once again, AP is using the strategy of "predicting every American that's a medal contender to be on the podium" and also using the strategy of "I hate Canada".

One silver medal for Slovenia? I'm convinced they don't follow ski jumping AT ALL. Worthless predictions IMO.

I never watch the Winter Olympics, but I'll force myself to follow the snowboard competition, or at least keep up with the results. And this might be a surprise for some people, since my favorite sports are artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, but I strongly dislike figure skating.

I'd say aerials or freestyle big air should be sports for you :p

Well, Biathlon has moved to the leading position in this voting...

Ice hockey fans, where are you? ;-)

And I haven't even voted yet. Since there's only one choice it will be biathlon. Alpine skiing & ice hockey round out the podium.

I'm pretty sure I might not watch some freestyle skiing events much unless there's nothing else on. Half-pipe & slopestyle scoring systems are a complete mystery to me after all those years and I only know someone does bad when he/she falls down :p

He was recently added to the Olympic team (at least that’s what I remember reading), so maybe more of a cherry on the top scenario.

I know he was added. Even Polish commentators laughed at the Patrick Gasienica inclusion to begin with. American NOC has no clue what they are doing or they truly wanted to blacklist Dean for some reason.

Willingen second round is cancelled due to wind conditions. Ryoyu Kobayashi wins and reclaims the yellow bib. Decker Dean finished 27th so he scored 4 points.
