I'm taking two weeks off at work to watch WOG. I should watch most action except maybe sports I don't really enjoy or understand the scoring system (half-pipe, big air & slopestyle being prime candidates). Bobsleigh is traditionally in last place among "established" winter sports for me

Slovakia: 1-2-0-3
That must be a copy/paste from PyeongChang 2018 I see, but Kuzmina is no longer there
Vlhova winning three medals is a reasonable assumption

24.
Belarus: 0-0-4-4
25.
Hungary: 0-0-2-2
26.
Estonia: 0-0-1-1
Once again, AP is using the strategy of "predicting every American that's a medal contender to be on the podium" and also using the strategy of "I hate Canada".
One silver medal for Slovenia? I'm convinced they don't follow ski jumping AT ALL. Worthless predictions IMO.

Marita Kramer is officially OUT
-
Niko Kytosaho (ski jumping). He probably misses the normal hill competition and the mixed event is questionable.

Natalia Czerwonka, Magdalena Czyszczoń, Marek Kania - speed skating (they are already in China)
In addition
Karolina Bosiek & Damian Żurek tested positive before flying to China so they are still in Poland.

There was a good dice between the Porsches in the closing stages. Pfaff only won it on the last lap after #2 Porsche spun in wheel-to-wheel battle.

I've said this before, the fact she got COVID in late December is actually good news since there's probably little chance she will test positive again come WOG.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau got scared of the truck drivers' anti-COVID restrictions protests and left Ottawa for 'safety reasons'

I never watch the Winter Olympics, but I'll force myself to follow the snowboard competition, or at least keep up with the results. And this might be a surprise for some people, since my favorite sports are artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, but I strongly dislike figure skating.
I'd say aerials or freestyle big air should be sports for you
-
NBC actually wanted to broadcast this Super Bowl during the Olympics which they also cover in US? They swapped places with CBS because the NBC turn to show the Super Bowl was last year.

Los Angeles Rams beat San Francisco 49ers 20-17 in NFC Championship Game. This was probably Jimmy Garoppolo's last game in SF, he blew two chances for a game-winning FG drive and Matthew Stafford in his first season away from Detroit Lions does make SB with a much better roster.
-
Cincinnati Bengals come from 21-3 down to beat Kansas City Chiefs 27-24 in OT in the AFC Championship Game!!! Joe Burrow might be the next Joe Montana after all.

Well, Biathlon has moved to the leading position in this voting...
Ice hockey fans, where are you? ;-)
And I haven't even voted yet. Since there's only one choice it will be biathlon. Alpine skiing & ice hockey round out the podium.
I'm pretty sure I might not watch some freestyle skiing events much unless there's nothing else on. Half-pipe & slopestyle scoring systems are a complete mystery to me after all those years and I only know someone does bad when he/she falls down

I'm literally waiting with my contest predictions until the last day because of Goggia & suddenly also Kramer
-
They say she doesn't have any sympthoms? And the second test was "less positive" than the first one so let's hope she recovers by Friday.
-
Since some people might not check the ski jumping thread I'll post this here too: #1 gold favorite in women's ski jumping
Marita Kramer tested positive and she is still in Germany which makes her Olympic start highly questionable.

Knowing the Americans he probably got in because he won some meaningless US National Champs in Steamboat Springs.
Kevin Bickner won that which gave him automatic #1 spot for WOG. They were actually held in Lake Placid

He was recently added to the Olympic team (at least that’s what I remember reading), so maybe more of a cherry on the top scenario.
I know he was added. Even Polish commentators laughed at the Patrick Gasienica inclusion to begin with. American NOC has no clue what they are doing or they truly wanted to blacklist Dean for some reason.
Willingen second round is cancelled due to wind conditions. Ryoyu Kobayashi wins and reclaims the yellow bib. Decker Dean finished 27th so he scored 4 points.

Yeah, totally expected after Kramer. I wonder what's the case with Iraschko-Stolz who missed some of the pre-Olympic rounds due to a swollen knee but she must have been in Willingen for WOG departure? She might be the only who gets lucky in the end.
