Anyhow continental representation is a must for all team sports only then those nations will get funding and development and improve later on. Team sport cannot be 1 continent domination like that. All continents deserve a place. That is not what I meant. India will send a big squad for the European Championships as per NRAI and if allowed could cause problem to average shooters in Europe who don't do well in qualifying but can once in a while shoot well in finals ( ie less than 50% chance to qualify). Instead European Federations will choose shooters who are good genuinely and scoring well in qualifiers as it may well decide the Olympic quota before finals. Shooting 24 good shots on a day is easier than shooting 60 good shots for a average shooter ( law of averages)

Yeah when I saw the rules it sounded ridiculous like there are a lot of deserving pairs who miss out on tt. I'd be the first to point it had India lost to Korea in the qualifier despite beating them in Asiad and later winning bronze since their ranking wasn't good but they hadn't practiced much together before in earlier tournaments also if they lost here it was it their . End of Olympic Dreams. If they don't be fluke and play to the best they are a top 4 pairing for Olympics.

With covid cases increases again in many countries including Poland may not participate unless absolutely necessary All those who are sure to win by ranking or who have less than 50% chances. Not to forget India participating will not make it easy to get into finals either

Arjun has booked his place in the Olympics for 10m rifle with this WC. No question of quota exchange there. Rapid fire shooters are in poor form the score is not good at all. One of them may qualify from here through ranking .

The most keenly contested team event of the WC will be Women's 50m3P where 8 teams are participating. Slovenia ,US, Poland will among the favourites .Men's 503p had just 3 teams with India vs Hungary for gold. It's India vs Poland for 25m pistol women's gold.

Nations like Malta, Macedonia, Oman, Nicaragua ,Bhutan, Nepal, Aruba, Myanmar, Belgium,Ireland, Senegal, Montenegro, Iraq, Bolivia, etc are some of the nations who will probably join the qualified list through reallocations or tripartite invitation accordingly. Can't say all of the above but around 40-50% of above

Cleansweep of 25m pistol women for India. This in addition to finals WR holder Apurvi Chandela who has failed to qualify for this Olympics .

Terrible performance for Indians Clean sweep in 25m pistol women, gold for aishwarya pratap tomar IN 503p and no finalist in women's 503p. Yet not a single shooter would have made it to the respective finals with that score in the last 2 years or so. Basically a medalless day. Rahi at 581 was closest a 585-586 would be required though. Aishwarya was like 12-13 points short and Tejaswini like 7-8... USA is a suprise package here been medal less last few years in rifle and pistol

Oh well I believed Finland didn't win a olympic quota in any event then saw they did in the shotgun event. Good that issf wc is happening now and not in april or may as the 2nd wave is gripping the country with 60% of total cases daily from Maharashtra.

I am not very sure but shooters losefraction of points from each event after 1 year so yeah it's the way it is now.

Felt like a proper biathlon race. Ostersund should have hosted world championships or two WCs maybe the unpredictability of the race due to strong winds made it the best race of the season (men / women) for me. Lead changed so much and the bottom 5 athlethes included Wierer(26th), Roiseland(29th), Simon(30th) wow. It was so much Eckhoff and so much direct that it was boring.

I think some athletes sure of the quota by ranking will skip the tournament due to safety concerns ,biobubble ,quarantine etc @Dolby Skeet ranking who gets quota

But still epee sounded like proper fencing to me when I read rules for the first time. Rest all were adaptations / modifications with individual events more than enough maybe team epee is still fine easy to understand.
