@Benolympique Keep an eye on the Namibian wrestler in 60kg. He hasn't lost to any Egyptian in the last 2 years. He beat today's Egyptian wrestler by 5-2, 2 years ago and lost to today's Algerian wrestler 3-4. So definitely not someone to be neglected. On a good day he can win the tournament and on a bad finish 3rd.

It just isn't the best pair there. It's a corrupted federation. Shwetha and Varsha won the silver in 49er FX ahead of the best Chinese, Thailand boats only behind the Singaporeans who already qualified. So they could have been favourite here. Apart from their mental trauma also the federation is just not great. I can equate it to Wrestling terrible politics just terrible federation. The sent 49er FX athlethes aren't like India's top 3 otherwise also. Anyhow rules are changed as required. For WFI there must not be anything like trials I think it's enough. If they want trials it must be 10 day continuos trials. Like how the fuck they choose such undeserving wrestlers on basis of 1 day's performance? Had Hungary qualified this discussion wouldn't have arisen. Anyhow continental representation is a must for all team sports only then those nations will get funding and development and improve later on. Team sport cannot be 1 continent domination like that. That is not what I meant. India will send a big squad for the European Championships as per NRAI and if allowed could cause problem to average shooters in Europe who don't do well in qualifying but can once in a while shoot well in finals ( ie less than 50% chance to qualify). Instead European Federations will choose shooters who are good genuinely and scoring well in qualifiers as it may well decide the Olympic quota before finals. Shooting 24 good shots on a day is easier than shooting 60 good shots for a average shooter ( law of averages)

Yeah when I saw the rules it sounded ridiculous like there are a lot of deserving pairs who miss out on tt. I'd be the first to point it had India lost to Korea in the qualifier despite beating them in Asiad and later winning bronze since their ranking wasn't good but they hadn't practiced much together before in earlier tournaments also if they lost here it was it their . End of Olympic Dreams. If they don't be fluke and play to the best they are a top 4 pairing for Olympics.

With covid cases increases again in many countries including Poland may not participate unless absolutely necessary All those who are sure to win by ranking or who have less than 50% chances. Not to forget India participating will not make it easy to get into finals either

Arjun has booked his place in the Olympics for 10m rifle with this WC. No question of quota exchange there. Rapid fire shooters are in poor form the score is not good at all. One of them may qualify from here through ranking .
