  1. Yeah and he looked unstoppable as if he didn't belong to the qualifiers. But I also believe Karate is the best bet for medals for Egypt right? Except for Mehelba brothers in shooting and some wrestlers. Can you throw some light on your team. I am curious to know about Egypt squad for Tokyo
  2. I have a feeling will win a medal in the sport via Hamedi, he was brilliant in the qualifiers.
  3. Side Poll 1.Who is your best hope ( gold / podium / top 16) in boxing and karate? 2.Who will win the medals in men's Kata? 3.What changes in rules would you want to see in Karate? (ex: No Draw system, 2 rounds of 2 mins instead of 1 round of 3)
  4. Russia Sofya Velikaya Maxim Mikhailov https://tass.com/sport/1308505
  5. And what about weightlifting ? Any news if they are allowed to compete ?
  6. Name 1 commonwealth games sport that has consistently taken place from the last 3 decades of cwg which Delhi couldn't have hosted. Then we'll answer .
  7. Since karate won't be part in 2024 I thought we'll have all 8 medal events for the polls!
  8. It's not about numbers. The mentality of Indian parents make you consider study/work as priority. Sports is never at the top it's considered just pass time. So even if your good at sports you'll be asked to totally stop sports at a point. The school or college curriculum isn't very sport friendly either. Changes are being made to include sports as a subject. I have myself been to and I know many schools and colleges which even cut the sports period for students and engage with extra classes. Rich or poor most people in India have mentality that sports is for leisure ..
  9. To be honest I'm more excited for the pacific mini games next year at North Mariana Islands . Hopefully @Olympian1010 gets us the streams .
  10. Ok final thing we are best in shooting since 2019 in the world no changes.
  11. Go and check results of WC since 2019 till now and tell who is the best.
  12. Best doesn't mean No 1. And yeah India is No 1 in shooting since 2019
  13. You don't know how difficult it is to choose sports as priority in India. So kindly shut your mouth and mind your own sports
  14. Britishers speaking like fucking Britishers
  15. I didn't say India is the best. Our Shooting domination started in 2019. In archery the medals in cwg aren't of big value imo
  16. It's not my point here. If they are really going to downsize the games to few sports it'd really not matter what sports they chose.
  17. Side Poll 1. Should Karate be added to future games? 2.Who will be the medallist in Women's Kata!
  18. Anyhow the existence of CWG is fading day by day and if that ITG report is true it's better the games don't impress me so I don't feel like I miss it.
  19. But Now I myself wouldn't like the idea of having it. Covid times many nations might not travel to india it's gonna be absurd to watch that, though we don't have anything to prove in the sport
  20. That was a expected decision. No one apparently cared here about CWG in the current circumstances. And our shooters and archers are already the best in the world so they didn't really need to prove themselves by winning gold in tournaments where we don't even have enough competition .
  21. You can consider it 373 already. Colombia will choose 64kg almost undoubtedly unless Mercedez is injured. Solis in 76kg is recovering from injury and lifted 247kg in -81kg non Olympic category at Pan Ams. She has competition from Dekha, Zavala closeby with Neisi at 261kg long way ahead. But Mercedez will go for gold 234 in pan ams with 238 pb just 2kg below Charron of Canada. No Real contenders for gold - silver hence it's easily gonna be 64kg with the exception of doping / injury
  22. I mean if you had asked me the ods of Samoa participating in April I'd say No . I love to read pacific papers and as early as then this was discussed. But when Samoa did not send their lifters to world juniors to Uzbekistan which had much lesser cases back then there was a doubt. They lost 3 golds there and the team wasn't an Olympic bound either. Somehow it was believed for the sake of Olympics they might change the mind, especially since Don Opeloge is a medal contender (391kg) and it'd probably be Sipaia's last Olympics despite 25 thanks to the huge talent in that weight
  23. No such changes. Colombia is chosing 67 and 96kg for 2 men, and they won't be fully banned.
