  1. -I like the relays though they are a bit long but as long as it's interesting it's fine. - Watching winter sports for the first time and you'll be like how on earth is pursuit a olympic/ world championships event? I mean how unfair that your position(or medal) in a event depends on your performance in another event. Cycling and speed skating pursuits are fine in that case. A fair event is one where all participants/teams have an equal chance of winning before start of the event irrespective of past performances. So a pursuit is not a fair event all in that case. Also @RobtheAggie Norwegian team didn't complain about Men's Relay being before the pursuit in Oestersund . Why? -Coz they won both the titles back then. And why they are complaining now? -They can't win the relay if one of Roiseland/Eckoff don't take part . Its not like last year where both of them can ski fast on all events. So anyhow they were going to sacrifice something.
  2. We have to learn from Thailand where the women are given full time contracts in team sports while men where funded for some time but didn't show promise. Look at their women's cricket, football and volleyball teams all have made it to the World Cup within 4 years of full time contracts.
  3. That's suprising maybe Norway wants to use these relays as practice for Olympics.
  4. Stage 3 in Hochfilzen (AUT) Women´s 10km Sprint: 1. Hana Sola 20:44.4 (0+0) 2. Justin Braisaz Bouchet +46.8 (1+1) 3. Marte Ølsbu Roiseland +50.3 (0+0) Full Final Result HERE
  5. Hana Sola Destroying everyone out there with the exception of Braisaz Bouchet winning silver despite 2 misses and Roiseland finishing 3rd despite 0-0 and 50.3s behind absolutely shocking. Maybe Sola can target cross country next. Few Takeaways : 1. Bendika had a chance to win a World Cup medal if not the miss on the 10th shot. 2.Stina Nilsson finished 16th, 1:33(1+1) behind ahead of Elvira Oeberg 3.Ida Lien missed out on a medal by 2.2s (0+0) . 4. Caroline Colombo finished a creditable 21st. (1+0)
  6. Couldn't watch the race but was expecting Norway/France/Samuelson to be on the podium and it turned out to be an absolute suprise ! Kuen and Smolski on podium wow
  7. I will personally not mind cutting down money on men's and boy's football and use it on girls and Women's football. The team looked amazing in the Amazon tournament only that they lacked fitness conceding late against Chile and Venezuela and also had Brazil locked for a long time in the match. A 2nd string Indian women's team(Railways) lost to Manipur (no long camps no money) at National Championship yesterday.
  8. Oh well.. Skateboarding The sport I hated the most at the games. Good to see Modern Pentathlon reaching where it deserves. Hopefully never gets included in the games again. I'm ok with Surfing making the list, it's a nice sport but is more enjoyable to watch it in person and even more fun when you have learnt it, living an hour away from the Surfing capital of the country I dare oppose it's inclusion as core sport. I hope weightlifting and boxing cleans every mess and gets added along with some additional sports .
  9. Mass start has 6 or 8 teams qualifying? Any chance for Japanese Men to qualify after their fall in SLC?
  10. Oh well... Biathlon is famous for these stuffs now.
  11. Asian Para Youth Games kicked off in Bahrain Yesterday ! https://youtu.be/G1cL-kImuEs Around 750 Para athletes under 23 years of age from 30 countries are competing across nine sports - Para athletics, Para badminton, boccia, goalball, Para powerlifting, Para swimming, Para table tennis, Para taekwondo, and wheelchair basketball. Good to see they are streaming many sports .
  12. The old format was the best possible format for shooting I felt. The medal winners of new format may not be the best shooters. Major loopholes : 1. A consistent shooter who may shoot with average say 10.2 and may have made a 2 or 3 point advantage after a certain number of shots in old format can still get eliminated easily since even if he has say 5 OR 6 points advantage in new format and shoots few shots of 10.0 - 10.2 can score just 1 point if all others shoot more even if it's 0.1 OR 0.2 above. 2.50m3P returns to standing finals making prone and kneeling specialist just opportunity to qualify well . 3. Unlike previous format where shooters who are consistent in finals win and every shot counts here it doesn't . You can hit 6.2,4.0,7.3, 8.1 and even miss but still win if you shoot other shots well 4. Also it's possible that 1 semifinal will have the best shooters while the other just ordinary ones (since shooting in qualification and finals can be totally different) , yet only 2 of them may qualify for finals .
  13. That's strange just 1 round event. I thought for the first time we will have men's and women's team aerials along with the mixed team aerials tomorrow.
  14. Can anyone tell me what was todays event? It said Team Pre Finals with no particular limit on athletes from each nation . And there was a top 3 which was based on individual score. So is it related to tomorrow's mixed team or something?
  15. All this time I assumed she was a new biathlete doing extremely well in her first season
  16. I wanted the contest to resume just for the sake of Czech Republic tbh. India meanwhile got 3 points the entire day from 3 juries. Was expecting at least 20 more. Nonetheless I clearly understand that no one here likes hindi songs , like not even a bit.
  17. Congrats to all the winners! @Hipooo That was a good choice.
  18. INDIA Argentina 12 Ukraine 11 Romania 10 Czech Republic 9 France 8 Germany 7 Kazakhstan 6 Poland 5 Ireland 4 Indonesia 3 New Zealand 2 Great Britain 1
  19. INDIA Ukraine 11 Romania 10 Czech Republic 9 France 8 Germany 7 Kazakhstan 6 Poland 5 Ireland 4 Indonesia 3 New Zealand 2 Great Britain 1
  20. INDIA 'Live as if you were to die tomorrow, Learn as if you will have to live forever ' -Mahatma Gandhi Hello! This is India Calling Romania 10 Czech Republic 9 France 8 Germany 7 Kazakhstan 6 Poland 5 Ireland 4 Indonesia 3 New Zealand 2 Great Britain 1
  21. Suggesting is one thing, trying to put pressure on host is other. Nonetheless hope you enjoy the contest now.
  22. It was @hckošice who forced the host to postpone for no reason ( even if it may sound fair), now we haven't seen the host in the forum since Wednesday so we don't know when the contest will resume. Today? tomorrow? Next week ? No idea. @Dnl can cut short the stuff with just 5 mins per nation and only 1 final scoreboard. So that it saves time before we forget about the contest altogether
  23. I guess it will be decided tomorrow itself .
