7 people want to change rules but no one wants to suggest the format For me : Finswimming 100m Bifin / Underwater OR Obstacle Swimming Followed by Fencing Epee (With a knockout format based on fencing rank of pentathletes ) Followed by Cross Country Equestrian Final combined event - 3km run + laser shooting - 5 targets first 2 1km loops so 10 shots -

There is something like rate limiting step weak point here Russia - Just 1 Karate athlete not too bad, too good needs to have the best day of her life to medal Japan - Need huge luck in Taekwondo France - I'm not so sure about Koumba Larroque in wrestling, won't rule her out though Iran - no Judokas . Had they been there focus would shift to boxing where again I'm not sure they could win but at least 4/5 sports medal was easy and some luck could have given 5th(boxing)

In a day or two I'll tell you " The Correct Answer " There is just 1 country that is winning at least 1 medal in all 5 individual contact sports by my calculations And around 4 are in contention(outside chance)

I don't know if I have to be sad. They could have medalled at Tokyo or Paris via Charisma Amoe Taurant but she chose to represent Australia just like Marshall Islands lifter Sassor represented US and didn't get selected such a shame.. -

I was expecting Handball. Nonetheless Dan Olaru deserves one of the spots since he and Mirca have the 2nd best matchplay score in mixed team only behind Korea in the last 2.5 years (World Cup + world championships) So well deserving

I think IOC is forcing NOCs to choose 2 unless it's a small nation with no elligible athletes in a gender to compete.
