But when Samoa did not send their lifters to world juniors to Uzbekistan which had much lesser cases back then there was a doubt. They lost 3 golds there and the team wasn't an Olympic bound either. Somehow it was believed for the sake of Olympics they might change the mind, especially since Don Opeloge is a medal contender (391kg) and it'd probably be Sipaia's last Olympics despite 25 thanks to the huge talent in that weight

I had talked about Samoa's withdrawal in the South Pacific thread last week. However Samoa will likely compete via Alex Rose based in the USA. No such luck for Nauru, Marshall Islands etc Samoan athletes had to quarantine in New Zealand ,Australia and then Samoa and while returning the same procedure again but twice the time in each country. That would be months wasted.

Modern Pentathlon is quite costly and skateboarding is only limited to very few nations and should be restricted to youth Olympics so that 12-14 year olds don't fight for gold. Kabaddi has very good players from Poland, Kenya, Argentina, Sierra Leone and so many I just can't count. Poland even beat full strength Iran comfortably at the World Cup in 2016.

For me : Skateboarding- Sepaktakraw (Men's and Women's Regu, Mixed Doubles) easy pick since skateboarding is played by lesser nations and is very booooring .
