there will be one more additional quota for Africa and Pan-Ams. for Africa Egypt can't take that (already has 2) so it's Morocco in men's Kata. so that means the last Pan-Am quota will to go a female athlete. :BRA Kumizaki has a very good chance to take that but still not 100% because Egypt and Austria can take both 55kg quotas before her.

looks like it will be the same story as yesterday, the Iranian will lost all 3 matches to finish last

I watched 6 matches = 12 boring Katas and nothing at the end. not really fair for me to do that again and still got nothing at the end :d

USA and TPE have one foot in Tokyo by winning the first round matches

Ukraine and Morocoo played for a 0-0 draw. they didn't even touch each other during the fight. only threw some random kicks and punches.

I really don't blame them. I would do the same. this format was a terrible idea

btw, this result ended the hopes for Kazakhstan

so :MAR:UKR:VEN qualified in women's 61kg

This is good format , 5 Ukrainians lose only 1 match and doesn't qualify to Tokyo. So I hope we obtain at least 1 quota)

    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.
    • Mary Rand has died aged 86. The first British woman to win a Gold in track and field at the 1964 Tokyo Games (where she also took home a further two medals in the Women’s 4x100m relay and Pentathlon).
    • Athing Mu competed in the USA trials in 2024 and 2025 post the 2023 rule changes. She also won Gold in 2022 and Bronze in 2023.    Jelimo the jury is out. She doesn’t look male like the other two do.
    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.
    • badminton queen Carolina Marin announced that she can't take part into the home Europeans in the upcoming weeks because of her injured knee and calls it a career 😭
    • yes, there are (or there was, at least) don't forget that the women's 800m had world and olympic champions like Semenya, Jelimo and Nyonsaba...basically, it was 10 years of DSD winners only the same Athing Mu was suspected to be DSD (never confirmed, but somehow she totally disappeared after Tokyo) then, there were the 2 girls from Namibia (1 won a medal over 200m in Tokyo) in Italy we have the living scandal Valentina Petrillo (a paralympian!!!), who's actually a real man not to mention the weightlifter from who took part into the Tokyo Games so, it's a real problem all around the globe, not just a US crusade against a few woke idiots
