How did 1 quota become 2? Ireland withdrawing so that Ireland and Fiji qualifies sounds funny

There are still two empty quotas (both in women's trap)

In that case it's possible but don't know how long it might take for declining and reallocations

Well, I am not sure if Ireland can decline and hope to get another.

They changed the reallocation system specifically now. It used to be that a nation could select anyone from any event, as long as they have MQS. Now the reallocations are tied to one specific event.

They probably don’t even want to in fairness. It’s just me feeling that it’s a shame our best shooter is left at home.

According to this article, Philippine shooter Jayson Valdez was given a quota in the men's 10 meter air rifle by the ISSF

Does anyone know which events receive priority for reallocation?

Anyway here are the top eligible nations for each event along with how many quotas are available (I'm assuming the remaining tripartite quotas and North Korea's quotas will be reallocated). I will also list the next three eligible nations.

* or ** = tied with each other

Happy with the news today that PHI received a reallocation quota, to be honest I didn’t see it coming based on JoshMartini’s post ?

I read one article on czech shooting site now And i am very surprised and disappointed again from czech officers.

They decided that one of the best shooter at the world Filip Nepejchal will not compete in 10m air rifle and for 50M rifle 3 positions, they will battle for ticket to Tokio with Petr Nymbursky next week . And they nominated junior Prizivsky instead of them.

Yes, Filip Nepejchal was injured and there was some drop of form but still i think that he would have the biggest chance to success in Olympics. Moreover officers did not inform ahead that they will choose athlete based on current ECH. Typical for Czech officers... And there are also some internal argues between two Czech shooting groups of officers which have impact on shooters individual lives.

So 10M air rifle, it is closed: We will send: Prizivsky and Hrckulak

50M rifle 3 positions: Prizivsky and one of the Nepejchal/Nymbursky

I hoped in change of quota od Hrckulak for sb in Rapid fire pistol, but it seems that Is confirmed now that Hrckulak will go too.

Hmm Nymburský is 3rd after 1st group of qualification in World Cup in Osijek, Nepejchal is 7th. So it seems that our best shooter will not go to Tokio :-(

Patrik Jány thanks yesterday bronze in the 50m Rifle 3 positions race in World Cup in Croatia, officially confirmed his qualification also in this event, he was expected to compete there by having the required mqs 2 years ago, but now it is definitely confirmed.

So 2 events for him at his debut Olympics, his main discipline the 10m Air Rifle, and is more than happy to hear that he will stay in the olympic village the whole week to compete also in the 3 positions

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
    • Here's my calculations of the quotas. I believe you are correct about Italy having 3 quotas in men's singles.   Men's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:   data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==   Women's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Men's Doubles   2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Women's Doubles   1 Quota:
