Venezuela and Paraguay won their competitions.

Now, one of them will join Colombia, Argentina and Brazil in the final phase for a spot in Tokyo.

Brazil will qualify full quota by ranking, so Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay or Venezuela will get this quota.

Kerri Walsh Jennings, Brooke Sweat miss qualification for Tokyo Olympics

Walsh-Jennings and Sweat got passed in the rankings by Kelly Claes and Sarah Sponcil for the #2 American slot.  So Walsh-Jennings will not compete at her 6th Olympics (5 in beach volleyball, she was on the indoor volleyball team in 2000 in Sydney)

Polish sports daily press Przegląd Sportowy says that our two men's pairs Grzegorz Fijałek & Michał Bryl and Piotr Kantor & Bartosz Łosiak have already secured olympic qualification via FIVB ranking. Both pairs are medal contenders I think.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
