I see on UCI site that there will be "Elite - Cross-country Olympic" races already tomorrow.

The saturday races are the U23 races. I'll be watching for :NED Fem van Empel (u23 cyclocross world champion) and :NED Puck Pieterse (former junior and U23 cyclocross european champion)

Edit: looks like Phelps beat me by seconds!

They technically count, but it's only like 10% of points compared to the Olympic distance race. They're mostly important for starting positions in the long course next sunday if I understand correctly.

they also count for the World Cup standings...

so, they might not be decisive for the OQR, but for those aiming to win the World Cup they're very important...

no, tomorrow it's the Under-23 races...the senior events are on Sunday (11 a.m. the girls, 2.15 pm. the men)...

So, something could be changed or calendar is just wrong

Ok, anyway Saturday or Sunday, doesn't matter, it's important that the World Cup is taking place at all :)

I know that the Olympic ranking stops on the 16th after the world cup in the czech republic

Any chance for Greece to make it? We competed in this event in London and Rio. It would be a shame to not qualify for Tokyo. We were in qualification position before the pandemic but now our ranking fell a lot in the past year :cry:

among boys you are 19th, therefore eligible for a quota, and among women, unfortunately, 39th

It says here we are 30th in cross-country ranking men elite nation ranking. Is there a separate Olympic ranking that you can show me? Thank you.

Sorry, I do not know much about cycling!

no it is the Olympic ranking and not the world ranking that you have to look at! Last year the competitions were frozen;
