Archery Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games

Recommended Posts

It is reported here: http://www.archeryeurope.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=8&Itemid=739 that 2020 European Championships will be held 20-26 May in Antalya :TUR and will serve as European Preolympic (4 quotas per gender, if I'm not wrong). Another Europe reserved place should be assigned at 2019 European Games in Minsk :BLR

I think it's 2019 - then 20-26 are Monday-Sunday. And I think that's what we have above the event name in your link - headline "Year 2019" and link to "Calendar 2020"

Their mixed team gained a quota at the 2018 Asian Games, so they qualified one archer in each gender.

What the hell!!! Instead of one quota each, they get 2 X 2.

Think of it as a quota to the mixed team event and an athlete qualified there can also compete in the team events. Just like the men's and women's team qualifiers can also compete in the individual event.

No, they only get one quota per gender and, unless they qualify a team, they cannot qualify any other archer
