I haven't looked anywhere about this, other than here, but are we non-existent :d Is there someone competing at all?

You had one athlete in W1x, she finished 8th.

A relief that Ntouskos qualified, and I am confident Kyridou will qualify next month as well. Sad for our LW2X though, they really needed this. Will be hard to see them qualify now. Does anyone know what is happening with the reallocated quota from the Americas event in LW2X?

There will be an extra spot available at the final qualifier in LW2X.

Thank you for that information. It will still be tough but good for our girls. Especially if Nikolaidou is able to get healthy in time and replace Fitsiou.

Update: Apparently Anneta Kyridou fell into the water before the race and was wet and cold during the race because of it. This sounds crazy so I am not sure how accurate this information is...

It has been confirmed, she fell into the water four minutes before the start of the race but still wanted to compete despite being soaking wet and cold.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
