Women’s free skiing sure came a long way from the days where you could do a zero spin in the biggest jump and get a bronze. When exactly was it possible to win a bronze at world championships with a zero spin? Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached. Not in big air. By the time the FIS started hosting ski big air events at the world cup / world championship level we were past that point already. I’m referring to the 2014 Olympic women’s ski slopestyle final, where the bronze medalist (Kim Lamare) did a zero spin in the biggest jump, which was basically the size of a big air jump. OlympicsFan 858 Posted March 19, 2021 #27 Share Posted March 19, 2021 Interesting fact about Tatalina (who won the big air event): Less than two weeks before winning the gold medal, she was only third in the European cup behind Elisa Nakab from Italy and 14 year old Muriel Mohr from Germany. Pruskova who won silver at the world championships was only 4th in the same event. Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
