Only 4 athletes for us (2M+2W).

You know, the usual for the nation who placed 7th in the Rio medal table...

Well, there is no "long throw" events :p and Blanka just retired few days ago :(

Sadly Konrad Bukowiecki and Ewa Swoboda will not take part in starting tomorrow IEC, Bukowiecki due to foot injury which he gets yesterday and defending champion Swoboda due to positive covid-19 test, and yet two days ago her test was negative...

Malwina Kopron said Swoboda got infected in Spala from one of the training athletes that don't take part in indoor sports.

Second positive test for Swoboda. She's out 100%.

Meanwhile Malgorzata Holub is pulled from the 400m individual races and won't be replaced by anyone leaving Swiety-Ersetic as the lone entry. Then what's the point of having SIX 400m runners if there only will be a relay final contested

Obviously no medals are expected in Torun, but the fact that those medals did nothing to improve the overall rate of championships participation says it all. :dunno:

Maybe that infected athlete was Kopron itself :p

Do you know reason why Hołub will not race in individual? Focusing on relay isn't enough good argument and yet Lesiewicz had a standard that could start on 400m individual...

Apparently no injury, just all-in on the 4x400 relay. However it would make sense to at least put Lesiewicz in the individual. Due to her lack of experience I think she won't make the relay despite finishing 2nd at the Polish indoors.

Never heard of any of them ...

GB obviously sending their reserves, which is smart. Compared to the Olympics, this event is irrelevant.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

    • And this is the final Medal Table fo the XX Bolivarian Games in
    • Agreed. But OTOH, the chances of a Male Team pursuit medal also seem rather slim at the moment, so why the hassle of dropping someone.
    • I have a sports database with millions of entries, which I then convert graphically on my Wikipedia sandbox.
    • Wouldn't be surprised to see the same this time. The men's 500m has basically on or with luck two medal chances, but certainly not three (semi-realistic) ones. With Beau Snellink for now not exactly on his way to an Olympic ticket and Patrick Roest still questionable, that might only leave Chris Huizinga, Jorrit Bergsma and Marcel Bosker, and that is not exactly a group one would want to have in the team pursuit.
