[OFF TOPIC] Politics Thread

It's parliamentary. The head of state (president) has no power whatsoever, the Parliament holds all the power. But that's not really the case anymore, in reality the Hungarian Parliament has become a joke, Orbán essentially makes ALL the decisions as the prime minister, he holds absolute power over his party, which has supermajority in the Parliament, therefore one man rules all, which is the opposite of what a parliamentary system should be.

There was a try to make a change of our presidencialist sistem to another parlamentarist to generate the same you describe, if Orban has that kind of power, like you say before, you will suffer him for decades without doubts.

Believe me, the latinamericans here can understand you better than most of the others forum users :(

I pity you and all who has to live together with many people who thinks craps like that and want to impose to the rest using the state.

In Latin America, at least for now, its a clearly minority.

You really don't need to pity anyone, the exaggerated view you quoted is just a tiny minority. Most people have a more nuanced view.

May be the ostracism was one of the best political invents from the anciente greeks which dissaper with the time and can be a good remedy for the "Orbans" of the world.

That depends on what you think is 'wokeism'. At least here plenty of obviously 'right-wing' people say everything that's not part of their conservative narrative is 'woke'. Hell, even TV series where a character is black is called 'woke' and meets with criticism 'because there's black characters'. Ugh.

Usually when people are argueing against 'wokeism', you can often guess a lot of their points of view.

Somebody please explain the difference between "wokeism", "political correctness" "not insulting someone" and "trying not to be an arsehole" ?

Im against woke and conservative narrative in the same way but at least today, i see a lot of more wokeism than conservative.

About the example you say, i dont understand the interest in putting every new version of character a "black people version", Nick Fury with Samuel Jackson was ok but now you have A LOT of this examples.

Making the oposite it will be the same stupidity, imagine this:

Because 99% of series and movies had basically only white people (or black evil people), and that's changing to be more realistic. Simple as that, nothing wrong with that.

Like people complaining about House of the Dragon beforehand, because of black characters. Jesus Christ. I get that people don't like it because they're not into Game of Thrones or fantasy in general and such, but really? Complaining about it (beforehand!) because some characters are black instead of classic Aryans?

When I see brown little mermaid and black snow white, I am more lectured than entertained. And I don't know if this is the new trend I have to follow if I am still want to be correct.

Snow White played by a black actress would, like Black Lightning being played by a white actor, simply be weird because the color is literally in the name. But I really can't see any issue with a black or brown mermaid. I mean, come on...what's the argument going to be, 'real mermaids are white!'?
