It also changes on google maps depending what country you’re in ;)

I think Google maps doesn’t show LAC, which is the unofficial ceasefire line, but shows official claim lines.

Usually it will show all dispute areas in dotted lines in most countries other than India and China I guess. But it does't all represent LAC. you need to further google and wikipedia it. Extremely messy.

Right, if you’re in India, you’re country holds the entire area; If you’re in China, likewise. However, everywhere else it shows it as a contested area.

Big oof for Canada. I’m very happy for Ireland though, as they are one of the countries that contributes the most UN peacekeepers.

I'm not sure how much of what Bolton said are true, but if so, it's still somehow astonishing for me. All the "-lisms", ideology, values are just bullshit, only deals and money are real stuff.  What a pure businessman.

For China stuff, he doesn't care about Hong Kong protests, Uyghur concentration camp, Tian'anmen massacre, all of those just chip for better deal. How dare he just say it out.

Eleven charges, including murder (potentially leading to the death penalty), for the officer who shot and subsequently killed a guy who resisted arrest (after failing a breath test), wrestled away a taser out of the officer's hands, ran away and then pointed the taser towards the officer and fired (but missed). The officer opened fire at that point, which one can assume can and will be seen as self defence by his lawyer (whatever one thinks of it, it is a credible explanation).

So far that's a tragic turn of events which could have been prevented from both sides...and then the officer went to town on the already down and out guy, kicking him and aggressively holding him down (it's not like he was going to go anywhere at that point)

The entire police force of Atlanta is refusing to work as well. This is a huge issue. Buffalo PD did the same thing after those two officers were charged with assault for pushing a 75 year old peaceful protestors to the ground

This is why the argument that “all cops are bad” can be made. They care more about loyalty to their “brothers”, than about loyalty to the people they’re supposed to be serving. They are all willing to protect bad cops because the police unions tell them too. They have continued to shoot unarmed civilians (though not in the case of the Atlanta officer), even after years of protest. They have continued to harass communities simply because they have the power to, and they have have downright refused any attempts at reform. This is why we must defund all police departments.

Police force is refusing to work and Protestors want to to defund police departments. Problem solved.

Defund isn’t the same as dissolve or disband though.

    • They always had the a lot of people and resources: the USSR was even larger than actually Russia, but the Germans almost defeated them in 1941. In my opinion, without a war in Western Europe, the Germans would have crushed the USSR.
    • Okay, but they have to be stopped somewhere and without Donbas, there aren't any good defense lines or any geographical obstacles- mountains, rivers, etc.? However, retreating for west across the Dnieper River would be a disaster for Ukraine, as it would lose many large cities and almost all of its industry. There's practically nothing in western Ukraine- no mineral resources, etc. Ukraine can't withdraw far behind Donbas, and that's something that should be discussed with the USA and the UE, not just the same old slogans. I hope there's some concrete talk behind the scenes.
    • LOL Russia is the largest country in the world with mega resouces , they dont need yours, they just dont accept their cousins in the western camp which is dangerous , allowing more domination of USA
    • names of Emirati players : Lucas, Nicolas ,Marcus,Ivkovic, Ruben , conceicao , ciao lucas .....
    • LOL ALG scored after few minutes , cancelled  by the Jordanian referee , he is 100% corrupted + wont see ALG vs Jordan later
    • The answer for this question: russians are not going to stop. I know very well their geopolitical doctrines: they want all the territory of Ukraine (terrirtory and resources) to reestablish empire. I read Dugin and Dugin was in charge of the higher educations of russian diplomats. Having Ukrainian resources they would be able to go further west. Our slow retreat helps to save soldiers and win time. Russians are using "meat attacks". We cannot do the same.   One little and important correction - they do not capture but destroy the cities.  Ukrainian cities captured during Worl War II remained the cities. Bakhmut and others are totally ruined.
    • They have split up the Cortina cluster into three different locations for the ceremony
    • Goggia hasn't been herself in the downhill for four years and her losses on the flat splits are enormous. Nothing has changed in another season. Now Vonn has also arrived, in great form... Brignone was probably Italy's best chance for gold in the giant slalom, but because of that damn injury, it's unclear whether she'll even start. In the giant slalom Brignone in last year's form, was much better than Robinson or Scheib, while Vonn and Schiffrin dominate elsewhere. The last time Goggia was in top form was at the beginning of the 2021/2022 season, before her crash in Cortina. In that time, she excelled on every track and split and now she's almost 1 second behind the Austrians on the flat sections...
    • But unfortunettly they'll probably capture it, just like Bakhmut, etc. Unfortunately, for the past three years, the Rus' have been slowly advancing, but they are gaining these territories—mainly in Donbas. The question is, where will they be permanently stopped? Ukraine's problem is that the eastern part is relatively flat, with no high mountains or other geographical barriers- there's the Dnieper River, but Ukraine can't retreat that far west. This reminds me a bit of the fighting on the Eastern Front in 1944-1945, when the Germans defended themselves valiantly in what is now Poland, but kept retreating. There were good fortifications in former East Prussia, plus good defensive terrain, and the Russians advanced very slowly, but eventually captured what they wanted. Fortunately, Ukraine isn't fighting on two fronts like the Germans were back then- because I'm sure that if the Germans had fought on one: east front, they would have certainly stopped the Russians somewhere- sure not in Berlin :P   I generally enjoy World War II history. I recently watched some interesting fight of the German battle for Stalingrad in 1942. There were 3 large factories there and the Germans almost captured them all. They very nearly captured the city, and by September 1942, Hitler was practically certain it would fall.
