Errm......isn't this just the language the rest of the world knows as....German?

 

The Polish Sejm has taken a great step towards officially recognizing the Silesian language as a regional language, potentially making it the second such language in Poland, alongside Kashubian.

Judging by the massive number of z's in this example (and the overall lack of feeling like anything resembling German), not at all, no :p

I come from Silesia. The language/dialect is full of German traces but it's not fully German per se.

Ah, OK, it’s like Ulster Scots, Kernow & Valencian then ie peasant dialects that existed in the pre-literacy era, but which died out with compulsory schools, railway lines & national service.  Only to be reborn in the era when people discovered that there were €€€s in the :EUU budget for regional languages.
