Authoritarianism is simply a better political system than liberal democracy especially in a time of a global crisis :p

Now that is one messed up way of thinking. Mostly because it suggests also in normal times having a dictator is better. We've seen there are certain countries which did indeed fair better with a dictator than they do without one, sadly, but that's obviously not the case everywhere.

Plus, I feel like his statement suggests that we should take every country at their word for their numbers. To be honest, I don’t think a single country is telling the truth. It is, what it is.

I don't think many countries are lying about their numbers, I do think many countries don't have the full picture because it's all rather chaotic.

Ah, the wonders of unlimited gun access

Even with our “strong” gun laws, we’re no match for conservative lobby groups in the national government :(

The fact that 2 of the five biggest bumps on here are after Obama’s and Trump’s election says a lot of worrying things about where this country heading...

:CZE:HUN and :POL lose EU court challenge for refusing Refugee quotas, but not :SVK because we "showed solidarity" and accepted 500 christian refugees :roflmao:

The whole relocation plan is dead anyway (since the fall of 2017) so even our resident anti-government media barely mentioned the TSUE verdict. Everyone knows it's completely worthless. Hell, EU needed almost five years to finally make a final decision, it's dust in the wind :coffee:

This is well written article about Calexit:

I’ve some other articles that bring up better points and scenarios, but this one is good too.
