Their best chance for a medal is Brody Malone on the horizontal bar.

First ever medals in artistic gymnastics for :TPE and :ISR today, first ever for a female gymnast for :KOR and first ever gold medal for a female gymnast for :BRA.

How I wish :IRL could have been there...

:ARM, :PHI and :KAZ can still join. And :BEL can get its first ever gold medal in a few minutes.

Another BIG choke for :USA. Lee missed most, if not all, of her connections. Her routine depended on connected skills to raise the difficulty score, but she apparently got nervous and now she will most probably not even get a medal.

Lee got a medal in the end.

Not a great final either. Many gymnasts had bigger scores in the all-around final than Lee had here: Melnikova, Urazova, Andrade, and Seitz tied this score. Bummer. Sad for Seitz.

      Of the top teams the world with traditions, only Portugal didn`t play in 3 World Cups in a row: 1986-2002 (1990, 1994 and 1998), but then fewer teams played in the World Cup than now. I don't really remember what caused the crisis in Portuguese football in the 1990s or how it was done with this later?       Gravina is simply stupid and probably has some kind of hold over other important key figures in Italian football, since he was elected in 2024 with a majority of over 90% of the votes... I have a hard time imagining it any other way. Compared to him, even Carraro, Berlusconi and Moggi seem like nice and kind gentlemens   Some people believe that Calciopoli in 2006 began the decline of Italian football and that may be true. It only got worse from there, not counting a single accidental Euro 2021 win- something similar to Greece in 2004. In 2009 Roberto Baggio prepared a 900-page report on necessary reforms in Italian football, but the then-FIGC board tossed it into the trash bin. Now we see the consequences...

      Well, it's possible that Italians may be more bitter towards short track officials after the robbery they perpetrated against Sighel at the Olympics and therefore more willing to comment and criticize them, but it doesn't make the decision any less ridiculous.   Also, the fact we are Italians, and therefore used to the low standards of football refereeing, makes us especially qualified and trained to identify biased/crooked/incompetent judging

      I think it was never in the history of our sport has there been anyone as brazen and stupid as Gravina. Before presidents would resign, or at least hide for a while, rather than go into a full-blow scandalous attitude with full larrogance and pride. I hope this idiot gets fired anyway, even if he doesn't resign.
