After a quite bad 1st stage in Szeged, Team SVK earned first seasons podiums in Duisburg thanks to the reigning world championship K2-1000m silver medalists Peter Gelle and the young Adam Botek, after yesterdays 2nd place in 1000m they today won the 500m

Well done guys :yes

I though they should have just made the women’s event 1000m

they should keep the 1000m as the only "Olympic distance" (like 2000m is the olympic distance in Rowing) and have 12 Olympic races (K1, K2, K4, C1, C2, C4 for both men and women) over that length...

but I'm not the IOC...

    • It's close between Mexico and Venezuela. Mexico probably has the better pitching but I think Venezuela is far superior when it comes to star power. They have pretty much all their top guys on offense besides Altuve.   I did accidentally forget Cuba. Call me crazy but I'm placing them 7th behind Panama. Panama is my dark horse team for the tournament and Cuba isn't looking too pretty these days to be honest especially on offense although Canada, Panama and Cuba are all probably roughly in the same tier. Maybe Puerto Rico as well since they're missing their 3 best players on offense.
