How this was not a 50 for Fox ? Hope ITA delegation will request a protest here

What happened? In the last gate I noticed she was close to the gate (well yeah she touched it) but passed it on the inside. Barely, like most..

Make or break for :SVK now :fingers: Time to justify having that studio around the venue :d

So yep let write it again for the xth time. We will not have any medal in Tokyo. Our only chance was yesterday and it ended bad.

But we will be back in Paris.

At least one good news today. No gold for Fox. So apparently at least some "justice" still exist in this world.

Dutch NOC is probably ashamed of this 7th place? :p

I think top 8 is fine, 9th place gets you whipped in public and passport revoked

She literally moved the gate with her chin (would not be surprised if it was even on purpose) just to make sure the ref will not call it a miss and just a 2 seconds hit, she did not have the whole head inside.

I saw plenty of 50 seconds for even smaller and less visible cases than this one.  but if your name is Fox, you have not to worry. ICF will do everyting for you, the girl of their poster

Nice for Funk to win a medal after a) Her coach died during an accident at the 2016 olympics and b) The place where she was born (Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler) was in the epicenter of the recent floods.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

99% of this forum probably has no idea about any "hidden influences" in this sport so we wait for some details! :p

Who are Canoeist Jess Fox parents?

Not very hidden, if you ask me. :d

I don't follow canoe sports outside of the Olympics, but if i was the ICF, i would have her as my poster girl as well

    • And this is the final Medal Table fo the XX Bolivarian Games in
    • Agreed. But OTOH, the chances of a Male Team pursuit medal also seem rather slim at the moment, so why the hassle of dropping someone.
    • I have a sports database with millions of entries, which I then convert graphically on my Wikipedia sandbox.
    • Wouldn't be surprised to see the same this time. The men's 500m has basically on or with luck two medal chances, but certainly not three (semi-realistic) ones. With Beau Snellink for now not exactly on his way to an Olympic ticket and Patrick Roest still questionable, that might only leave Chris Huizinga, Jorrit Bergsma and Marcel Bosker, and that is not exactly a group one would want to have in the team pursuit.
    • 4 years ago the third Male 500 metres qualifier was dropped for a Team pursuit rider.
    • In the 5000 she probably won't (first alternate at the moment).      What are the chances of the matrix "prioritizing" a mTP squad ?
    • Looks like it. Not too surprising at all, it fits anticipated behaviour of contemporary forums about politics. To be more clear - suffering isnt something that bothers people on universal level. 50000 slain Christians in 14 years - not interested. But other atrocities around the world - bring it on baby.
