@Werloc Did Lithuanian technicians accidentally put gravel on their skis today?

It's the only plausible explanation of why Dombrovski was 2:30 behind with 0+1 (though I have not watched the race)...

Karol fell somewhere in the 1st kilometre, he came in 40 seconds behind everyone in the first shooting, after he lost contact with everyone the relay was done for us.

20 seconds ... but the other threes had only 1 miss while Norway 6. They were really slow today.

For France this was an absolute disaster, both teams want to play for gold and in the end it was no medal.
Btw a good performance from Chloe Chevalier, it was the right thing to put her in for Braisaz. She was even 3 seconds faster than Julie Simon. But with the terrible skis it helped nothing.

QFM will be really disappointed, he is the only man in the French team without a medal, so have big pressure for tomorrow. Jacquelin was good on skis today, so maybe tomorrow another opportunity for a medal. On the women’s side definitely not, they look really tired today, even if Simon won the last two Mass Starts.

My big favorite for tomorrow is Preuß, if she looses not to much energy today. Best performance today from all athletes behind Vitozzi. And if Germany not wins a medal tomorrow, it’s going to be a little bit a disastres championships. They expected 4-5 medals and only have so far 2, and no individual medal in the women’s field.

Honestly, it's a complete lottery at this point, one day an athlete looks dead, the other the athlete is looking like the fastest that he/she has ever been.

For example, I didn't expect Samuelsson to fly like that today, whilst Ponsi was a bit slow compared to what he showed previously. Same with Hanna Oeberg, you never know if she's going to have the spark or look dead on the skis and Elvira having been one of the fastest in these champs not having the strength to keep up with Herrmann, whom also can't decide when she's going to be slow or fast.

Really, the only team that you can expect to always be fast is Norway, whilst France, Sweden, Russia, Italy, Germany and other countries produce skiing statistics like a yoyo.

Edit: I'm sorry, RBU

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
