How can Warner possibly lose 400 pts at this point (as long as completes)? :mumble:

If Mayer's back isn't terrible, he can very realistically make up 150+ on pole vault alone, 200 even if things go a little in his favour and Warner doesn't go to PB level. In javelin there's space to make up 150 points as well for Mayer.

Warner is still leading in the forecast and is of course the favourite, but the 'virtual gap' (assuming no weird stuff, good or bad) is more like 100 points than 400 :p

I think Discus, Pole and Javelin could be a problem with his back.

Yeah that's the main worry, sadly. If he was in top shape, he'd be able to gain 450+ on those three events alone if Warner doesn't pull out big stuff, but with his back...nah.

About javelin, that might be an issue for Thiam as well by the way, she's been having some elbow issues for a while. Hopefully she can avoid any issues there.

Vetter starts with an X, that's the number one mistake in multi-event long jump...

Schäfer still only at 5.73m after two attempts, she badly needs to improve.

Great, Schippers starting WAY too early. That's it for any remote chance for the 4x100 women.
