That went wrong from the first athlete to cross the line already, they really should have been standing at the ready with bottles of water, cold wet towels and such...

Dutch commentator threw in a bit of a worry right after the start: Hassan's management had told him that she had been having a not very light leg injury before the Olympics, and she was actually on the edge of withdrawing from Tokyo altogether. I did not expect her to have this kind of last lap in her anymore, but I guess Gidey's tactics helped

It has been a fault right through the games, from the cycling on the very first day.
