The strategy is paying off. The coaching staff calculated that it is a lot easier to finish in the top 4 at the North America Cup than the top 16 at the World Cup. We are about 80 points ahead of who along with and both riders would have to leap frog our second man. We may or may not hold on, but we are playing smart given our current weakness in the event. -
The Canadian men having 2 quotas, while not competing at the World Cups, is something interesting -

Unfortunately, bacouse to the terrible performance of our second girl in this year, we will 99% likely not be able to field two duets in the mixed doubles and in my opinion this is very bad news for us. -

I just remember that it was always said that Poland should have won in 1994, but there was some kind of conspiracy, etc. I don't know how much truth there is in that and how much not, but this competition was always controversial and there was a lot of politics involved. Personally, I have little interest in this competition - an Olympic gold medal in any sport is more important to me: 10 times more to me than this strange song contest And Zenek I will sent just for fun - I already wrote that. Still, I think he has a nice voice- and this song has that certain something. Like our Annalisa, it's also in the disco music. -

Poland, in my opinion, had very big potential with Jann, whose song is very unique for Eurovision, because there aren't a lot of dark pop entries. Plus the selection was rigged towards generic singer with generic song (Poland is kinda known for that, Luna and Blanka are the examples of how judges ruined everything with the stupidity). -

Luge was our best chance of some kind of advantage. In bobsleigh, our results have been surprisingly good for the past two years, but the last time we really mattered in this sport was in the late 1990s- In 1998, we had gold in the two-man event in Nagano. -
Germany didn't have that much of an equipment advantage in 2014, and the Russians had a big home track advantage in 2014 (just like Canada had back in 2010, Korea in 2018, China in 2022...) Italy will, obviously, not get such an advantage given how late the track was built. -

But Russia can beat the Germans at home in 2014. I wonder where they got their equipment? Did they use their own resources, or did they import them from abroad? -
