For what?

Apparently one idiot on German TV (I was told so, didn't see it myself) said it was karma for hitting Vettel, when in fact Vettel made a mistake by braking too late

You mean that move when one of the Ferrari's cut to the inside which caused all kinds of problems?

An old tradition restored, they did this back in the early 90's apparently :d

Plus, there's no engines there so McLaren managed to win without having Honda crap in the back :p

Qualifying session 2 of 3 is about to start, live on Eurosport. First it's two hours, then a one hour break and then two more hours until midnight, after which the starting grid is known.

Last night was session 1 and the Toyota's were fast in LMP1. The biggest fights are expected in LMP2 though: they're bloody fast, only about 10 seconds behind LMP1, and there is a ton of competitive cars (whereas in LMP1 there are only 5 competitive cars). LMP2 just has one big problem: the cars are all pretty new and untested and they are expecting a whole lot of electronical problems. If that stays out and with some luck, an LMP2 might even get on the overall podium.

Live timing can be found here:

    • Spring Nationals, Day #1   men's 50m back: in Ceccon's absence, 2 youngsters dominated the field...Christian Bacico (2005) won the title and improved himself up to 24.83 Daniele Del Signore (2007) ended up in second place with 25.21   women's 800m free: always only Simona Quadarella...8.24.25 for her, just enough to win the title and earn herself the official ticket to the world champs next Summer   men's 200m fly: Alberto Razzetti easily won the race in 1.55.06 (only 7/100 outside the qualifying time), but he said he's not feeling well at all and he's worried about the next days and races   women's 100m breaststroke: the race of the championships in day #1. despite Benedetta Pilato gave up the final after a poor heat performance, we already have both world champs qualifiers: Anita Bottazzo won the title with a huge PB in 1.05.82, followed by Lisa Angiolini in 1.06.01. Arianna Castiglioni ended up in 3rd place and therefore she's gonna miss the world champs (at least in this race) despite a good 1.06.22   men's 400m free: Marco De Tullio easily won the race in 3.46.90. Summertime sadness (cit.) for a race that was always so successful for our Country and now it's one of the poorest   women's 400m IM: Anna Pirovano won in 4.40.77, which is her PB, but also a depressing time considered that she was just a few tenths of a second outside the old NR at the 300m mark and finished almost 7 seconds shy of said record (still held by Alessia Filippi since Beijing 2008)   men's 50m free: Leonardo Deplano destroyed the field, took the title home and earned the official ticket to Singapore with 21.62. all the remaining swimmers were above the 22" mark.   finally, in the women's club 4*100m relay, Sara Curtis swum her new PB over the distance in the first leg, she improved by half a second up to 53.72 (and she could have gone faster, if didn't "die" in the last 5/10 meters) if she can repeat herself in the final of the individual race, this would be a qualifying time for the world champs
