The only Nordic Skiing WCh held in Slovakia (part of former Czechoslovakia)

 

 

and the amazing crowd during the Ski Jumping Large Hill competition

 

 

Both Ski Jumping events was won by Gari Napalkov

 

 

Hopefully one day Slovakia will have the honor to host such event again

Zakopane also held the Nordic WCh twice but it's not going back there anytime soon. There's still only one road from the nearest airport in Krakow and well, it's notoriously jammed all year. I bet if you took a bus from Kosice you'd get to Zakopane faster than from Krakow
