Boyd Martin got selected on Luke 140, but will ride Tsetserleg.

 

Which is awesome since Tsetserleg was named after a town in Mongolia.

Nominated entries are out. This includes all reserves, but is pretty final.

 

Looks like Belarus withdrew from dressage and got replaced by Estonia! This means Slovakia either declined or is not eligible, I will try to get some info.

 

Ireland situation is still not resolved. Either FEI is giving them space to enter a team, or they are considering whether to give them a reallocation. There is no info whether Belgium can actually enter one or three riders at this point.

And there it is... Michael Bugan's ride For President is listed as Austrian-owned. I should have kept track of this.

So either his team never intended to take part in Tokyo, or they didn't change the nationality because they never anticipated a reallocation coming.

Yeah, probably they never expected to qualify. So it may be both of the reasons..

 

I could not found anything in our federation website or social medias, not a single mention about eventual Olympics..so it may be they never even intended to qualify

 

Also watching his instagram I see the guy wrote only in German, is he even slovak to start with ?

I knew he actually lives and trains in Austria, but apparently yes, he is Slovak.

Beginnings

I grew up on a farm in Slovakia. There, I made my first attempts at riding on the back of a goat! It was in the School for Horse Management in Šaľa, where I went through a tough learning curve: breaking in young horses was part of the daily routine, and if you wanted to succeed you needed to lose your fear of falling off. I never had that fear anyway. Instead, I discovered my passion for working with young horses and this eventually became my profession.

Yeah. Looks like it might be an administrative error on their part after all. This is very reminiscent of the Pyeonchang bobsleigh fiasco.
