This is slightly off subject but I notice Jitendarjit Singh Ahluwalia of India tried to qualify for Rio at dressage. He competed in eventing in Moscow in 1980 and not since

However, with Japan being prequalified for Tokyo and FEI restricting number of individuals to max 1 per nation, he might have a shot for 2020. #banbestmen

Werloc 3,144 Posted July 4, 2017 #60 Share Posted July 4, 2017 From Lithuania, we only have a couple of cases that are close: Virgilijus Alekna, Discus Throw, participated in 1996/2000/2004/2008/2012, but ended his career in 2014 Austra Skujytė, Heptathlon, participated in 2000/2004/2008/2012, but didn't qualify in 2016 because of an injury, she is planning to end her career after this season, I think. Kristina Saltanovič, Race Walk, participated in 2000/2004/2008/2012, we have a very strong women's team, so she didn't make it in 2016, she is still active, but is missing out on the world championships, because she came in 4th in the qualifying event, not likely that she'll make it or even continue her career till 2020 And then there's Simona Krupeckaitė, track cycling, that started participating in 2004/2008/2012/2016 and I think she's working towards 2020.
