  1. Joined here after becoming an athlete myself, currently boxing (amateurly) and fencing (foil and epee, training to compete in my nationals and the Maccabia). Not sure if these forums are a place to meet other fencers, but I am glad to find like-minded people.
  2. Eh, I guess. If it's just a blood test (like the one taken to detect doing), I hace no objections. I still think the ban should be on a per-sport basis with the decision of the sport's parent organization, since gender differences matter much less in certain sport than in others. Just my two cents.
  3. The thing that makes me even more suspicious is how will the "tests" be conducted... Do you need to submit blood samples? Show your genitals? Seems like a lot to mess with and be messed with. Hell, I am a large bearded dude and I am not sure I will be comfortable with any physical examination. Plus it's funny- that's for all sports? Including shooting? Even, including fencing that has mixed gender tournaments in regionals/nationals?
