And it is a round week for Spanish tennis players, as Sara Sorribes defeats Eugenie Bouchard to win Abierto Zapopan, in its first edition as a "full" WTA tour competition.

In ATP 500 in Dubai we will have a first time winner, it will be either :RUS Karatsev who beats Rublev today or :RSA Harris who defeats Shapovalov in today semifinals.

In response to the dubious frozen rankings nonsense WTA has decided to do something after all (or maybe they feared another mutiny like in ATP case).

 

Indian Wells 2019 points will stay on for another year though. But Iga Swiatek's Roland Garros points will count for 52 weeks after all.

 

Also the path to remove Ashleigh Barty from her fake #1 spot is much easier for Osaka now.
