I'll add all the stages later today (no time right now), but good news for @hckosice: Bora-hansgrohe have just announced their team and Juraj Sagan will make his Grand Tour debut :p

Oh, and it might be a surprise: Peter Sagan is in the team :p

He deserved it. Already last year he was great. Definitely his best season so far, resulting in the National championship triumph and few months later he and Michael Kolář did a amazing job to help Peter maintain his world title. But as you know Tinkoff had 2 leaders, and selected riders to mainly work for  Contador so Juraj was out. This season he started very well too, doing a ton of hard work for Peter, and since this time Bora has a clear "green jersey history" goal, so I expected his nomination.

Massive disappointment that Mørkøv isn't in the Katusha team. Seems like they don't believe enough in Kristoff to put all focus on him!

Well, Kristoff hasn't been in a great shape at all the past months...I wonder if they'll give Zabel a chance now and then.

It's quite an interesting team anyway. I'm guessing Majka is officially going for the GC, only to lose 20 minutes early on and going for stage wins again :p

Very curious to see what Buchmann can do after his 3rd place in the Youth GC last year.

Sky
Froome
Sergio Henao
Kiryienka
Knees
Kwiatkowski
Landa
Nieve
Rowe
Thomas

Meaning that when the main group on the climbs is down to 10-15 riders, Froome still has half his team with him :p

Jan Ullrich isn't invited to the Grand Depart because of his doping history, yet the likes of Jalabert, Virenque, Hinault etc are of course happily invited all the time, the hypocrisy is painful :roflmao:

Tour de France organizers don't have humour :roflmao:

Quote

Tour de France organizers will contact Jan Bakelants's AG2R-La Mondiale team to ask him to apologize after the Belgian rider was reported to have made derogatory comments about the race's podium girls.

Bakelants allegedly made the comments in an interview with Belgian paper Het Laatste Nieuws.

"We will contact his team so that he makes an apology," Tour director Christian Prudhomme told Reuters on Wednesday.

Contacted by Reuters, AG2R-La Mondiale said: "We have seen this interview and the answers of Jan Bakelants, who certainly wanted to be humorous, but in the present case it was very bad taste. We apologize to the organizers and to those who may have been offended by this remark."

At the 2013 Tour of Flanders, now world champion Peter Sagan apologized after grabbing a podium girl's bottom.

The Tour de France starts on Saturday.

Bakelants was asked some questions by Het Laatste Nieuws:

Question: When will you call your parents for the first time?

Answer: "When I'm done with all the porn movies, so they can bring some new ones."

Q: Three weeks without sex, is that hard?

A: "Nah it's alright, you know, the porn movies....plus there's always the podium girls"

Q: What will you bring for the free moments?

A: "Definitely a pack of condoms, you never know where those podium girls have been."

Prudhomme probably lacks a sense of humour or took everything serious or something, because if he read the Belgian interview, he would have seen Bakelants has a family and was joking around with his answers. Shame on you Prudhomme, shame on you for overreacting in today's world

    • Yeah,I said before Xmas that when the  women lose a superstar someone always comes through who responds to the best coaches & slowly gains the confidence to win the big races.  Looks like she has arrived just in time
    • Now I looked at the results and I was very happy that Italy was 2nd, but when I saw Lisa's last split on skis, I was a bit worried
    • 2nd place for Italy is great, but I'm worried about Lisa's weak run on skies in the last stage, and without a fast run there will be no individual medals in Cortina In normal form, Vittozzi shouldn't lose more than 10 seconds to the Norwegian on the last split from the shooting range to the finish line. Perhaps Lisa has had some hard training - she missed the stage in Oberhot and that's why her form in the run on skies is a bit weaker?
    • First of all in: Big Air, Slopestyle etc. are disciplines where judges decide the results 100% and this is bad. The average person, when they turn it on during the Olympics, has no idea why someone is 1st or 3rd, but when he turn on alpine snowboarding, he see who finished 1st and who 2nd.
    • got a 2 min penalty for no tag at the exchange
    • I wish our TV had such a good reason to show SB too
    • On the other hand, why bother with snowboardcross, which only has 1 or 2 World Cup appearances in a single season before OG, due to a lack of sufficient route? For me, it's also a dead sport, just like Nordic combined has been for some time now, with many World Cup races being canceled. For today, I would prefer team competitions in alpine snowboarding to snowboardcross, if only because in this first there are regular World Cup competitions every 1-2 weeks, and not 1-2 for the entire season.
    • not anymore...   now Czech TV shows mainly alpine SB because of Ledecka and now also the young rising star Maderova
    • I understand )) It is a shame that these reallocations in FIS disciplines may happen too late.   As far as I know FIL had consultations wirth the IOC and quickly removed 3 incorrect AIN`s after that. I do not know if FIS did the same but it looks like they did not. Since we see a lot of AIN statuses for people who do not meet the requirements. Thus some reallocations may come only after the AINERP review. I can say nothing on Zueva right now. She is not cleared by the IOC yet, by the way. But Belorussians (or at least rrepresenting Belarus now) behave lin different way. Russians on the other hand prefer to show loyoalty to the regime since it provide them with substential benefits and positions in local administrations and parliaments.
    • I would say it highly depends on the traditions of some disciplines in certain countries.   Our national sport TV boradcated Aerials live last season. Czech Reuplic has it in the prime-time of its national sports channel as far as I know. Yes Valenta won his gold more then 20 years ago but it does not matter.
