There's plenty of time for that until the Vuelta preparation begins  

 

I guess this was a slight gamble to see if he still had some of his good legs (like Pozzovivo has, but then again, he's a climber). Decent top-5/10 in the final TT could give the team some more points and then it's holiday time.
