Marking the traditional beginning of the British Summer Sports season, the Hallaton & Medbourne bottle*-kicking competition.  There’s also a pie comes into it at some point.  No gouging allowed.  :redcard:

*In fact, it’s an old word meaning a barrel.

Wow, they take their fishing seriously in Ohio!

Two men who admitted to cheating in an Ohio fishing tournament last fall have been sentenced to ten-day jail terms and other penalties, including the forfeiture of a boat valued at $100,000.

:CAN Corey Bellemore keeps his title as the Beer Mile World Champion, this time running a 4:30.80 with one shoe.

OK, was going to suggest combining this with the biathlon but on reflection…..:bones:

:GER are world champions in men’s fistball once again. It’s the fourth consecutive title for them. It also guarantees them a quota for The World Games 2025.

:AUT:SUI:BRA should get quotas as well, but it might depend on continental championships and other events.

Also, if you get a chance to watch fistball in-person at some point, I highly recommend it. I had a great time at the venue in Birmingham last summer.
