What do you think? Who will win 4 hills tournament?

Who will be the surprise contender (there is always one ;-) )?

And I wonder how Stefan Kraft performs.

I pick Granerud as an overall winner.

There’s kind of a tradition of people coming in as the red-hot in-form favourite & flopping, though.

Klemens Muranka had a positive test for covid in Oberstdorf. I hope the rest of Polish team will be allowed to participate. His test will be repeated today.

The polnish team is not allowed to start in Oberstdorf. This is probably the correct decision but very bitter and lessens the value of the Four hills tournament significantly.

Yes, PL is not allowed to participate in Oberstdorf due to covid issues.

:-(

We don't know anything about Ga-Pa yet.

Thats true, has happened many times before. This season is rather specific, its a battle between Granerud and Eisenbichler. Now with ban of Polish team, i can only name Lanisek as a dark horse, he has decent results last couple of times.

Geiger and Kraft have chances. Their standing in the World Cup is misleading, because both missed several competitions.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
