The FIS has finally, at long last, figured out what format works for parallel races. And, shocker, it's the one they used for snowboarding until recently. They should let the snowboard people know.

To be fair, we've only had technical events so far this season. At least five of the next seven races are speed events  

 

By the way, just noticed something pretty cool: if all goes well, the Zagreb men's slalom will be the 500th World Cup men's slalom race in history  

 

And even better, nine days later the first of the Lauberhornrennen downhills in Wengen will be the 500th all-time men's World Cup downhill race, so a double jubilee within one and a half weeks
