Philipp Öttl (GER) takes pole position in the Moto3 in Austin after a qualifying with rain

 

He was one of the riders who went out on slicks early on, when the track was drying up...after that, the rain came back and even though most people tried, nobody had a chance to get close.

It's time for Moto3 

 

The start is delayed with a few minutes because of an oil spillage, but we should be on our way in 10 minutes

Rossi crashes, then Pedrosa falls and hits Dovizioso to the floor and barely a lap later Crutchlow and Smith go for maximum points in the synchronized crashing

What a horribly boring race once the crashes were done... 

 

Marquez showed once again that he is by far the best MotoGP-rider in the world at the moment

The World Superbikes are in Assen, The Netherlands this weekend, so I'll be there tomorrow to watch race 1 of the weekend hoping Michael van der Mark can fight for a podium like last year 

 

(Sunday there is just way too much sports on tv, so I prefer staying at home  )

Van der Mark fought for a historic win (would have been the first Dutch SBK win ever) but fell in the second-to-last lap  

 

Until that moment it was a great "party"..
